Q: Does the "Wide" 16" fit an acoustic bass or a typical dreadnought?

There are several instrument brands with different specifications. My dreadnought has a fret radius of 8.5” wide. Fortunately the tool includes many radius of which you can interpolate between, in the case your instrument doesn’t fit exactly.

Q: What is the difference between the "Wide" and "Narrow" radius gauges?

String instruments have finger boards with different string separations, depending on your fingers and hand sizes. So there are wide and narrow finger boards, and tools too
