Q: Are you still able to press the pairing button?

Not at all. The case is too hard and there’s no access to the pairing button unless you remove the case. The case is solid and aesthetically pleasing but that the only flaw in design

Q: What are the 4 black stickers for?

You're supposed to place them in the inside of the top and bottom within the case. So when you put your headphones case in it, it doesn't remove so easily. Or if you drop it the case doesn't pop out of the protector.

Q: How thick is this case? I fear that my airpods will become too bulky.

It's not too bulky. I have bulkier cases.
