Got these on release and while they were perfect for hearing footsteps and pinpointing Enemys they where a bit flat and bland. So I changes the tips to one size up to get a better fit. Then they got an update which added an equaliser on the PS5. I used this to raise highs and added a bit of bass. They now sound really good. There perfect for music and gaming now with crisp highs and deep bass. When you make a custom eq on the PS5 it's saved onto the earphones so when you connect to your phone bluetooth it keeps the eq settings. Very quick and easy to charge. Also they work well with the portal with little to no audio lag. They do still have slight notisable lag when using phones Bluetooth if your watching movies.Overall I would say since changing the tips and the firmware update they got in late January the eq makes them much better but I still fell they are abit on the pricey side. Wait for price drop if your on the fence.

Not good, certainly not worth the price
My experience with the PS Pulse Explore has been a letdown...The sound quality, in my opinion, is mediocre. This seems to stem from it having a flat sound low bass profile, which, annoyingly, can't be adjusted.A significant issue is the proprietary PS Link's tendency to disconnect intermittently when connected to the PlayStation Portal. I experienced dropouts more than three times within an hour of gameplay. While these dropouts last only a few seconds, they are highly frustrating as they detract from the gaming experience. After googling the issue, It appears this is a common problem, as indicated by numerous youtube reviews. Hopefully, this will be addressed with a future firmware update. The build quality is ok, but the earbuds are noticeably large, likely due to the magnetic planar speakers they house. Battery life is another drawback, offering only about 4 to 5 hours of usage. Also the charge case is insanely huge for no real reason, and opens with a bizarre sliding action! It is also inconvenient that a dongle is required to connect the earbuds to the PS5, utilising yet another USB port. This is annoying for me, as I already use multiple ports for the PSVR2, a charge cable for the PS5 controller dock, and a USB for my current PS pulse headphones.Oh and the absence of active noise cancellation is another downside big downside, especially at this price point. In conclusion, even if the connectivity issues were to be addressed, I would value the PS Pulse Explore at approximately £100, maybe £120 at most. Overall, I'm not impressed with them at all. But thumbs down. However, I'm considering returning the Pulse Explore buds and getting the Sony Inzone buds instead, gaining active noise cancellation, increased battery life, the use of the Sony headphone app to change sound profiles and saving £20! Comfortable the perfect partner to the portal
Charge last for ages, planar drivers give excellent sound, so far no connection issues with PlayStation portal.

Excellent quality but had connection issues
I FIXED MY CONNECTION ISSUE..I only use it for gaming, for this I cannot fault the sound or the device at all. Excellent quality. The problem is it kept disconnecting at random times and to get it working I would have to restart my PS5. I sent them back and got a replacement. Same problem arose and I could not find a fix online. Eventually through trial and error I fixed the problem. Its the headset dongle, I unplugged it from the back of the PS5 and plugged it in the front. Since then they have only disconnected twice and to get them working again I just pulled the dongle out and plugged it back in. I think in the back it was overheating. Also to reset the dongle it doesn't have a button, you press the whole dongle in and you will hear a click. I have had 2 sets of PlayStation headphones and never had a connection issue so I find it strange that the Pulse has one. But if you're a gamer defo worth the money very light and sound great. Sometimes I forget that I have them in my ears.

Ear buds for PS5 Portal
Bought for my partner to use with his PS5 Portal. He loves them and they work fine with his Portal. The buds can also be used with a Laptop or PC as long as you plug the included USB Dongle into the laptop or PC. I thought they were expensive at £199.99. Having said that, they were selling for quite a bit more than that on some other websites! Time will tell if they last and live up to the PS name and quality.

Sony Needs to Fix Disconnects
After only two days I’m experiencing the same problems as many others - they’re prone to disconnecting. Not what you want during a gaming session especially PVP. Pulling the dongle out and putting back in seems to fix the problem until the next time. Unexpected from such a pricey set of earbuds. If it’s going to be your only set best look elsewhere. Returning, and purchased the pulse elite which is so much better for me.
