FreeCAD 0.21 Basics Tutorial: Your Essential Guide to 3D Modeling and Design

Very clear instructions and easy to follow. The processes give the basics for starting to use freecad and becoming more confident in its use. Excellent publication.

I love the pics pens. Close to ruler measurements and easy to sharpen and use exactingly. Tough graphite black for light colored boards and I love the white for the walnuts and dark woods.

The tutorial book is an excellent companion to FreeCad software. Helps to get you up and designing quickly.

The book has mostly good information as an introduction to FreeCAD, but has errors. The tutorials clearly have not been tested, as most actually can not be completed as written. The text seems to be mostly copyed and pasted from other sources. Terminology is misused, leading to confusion. Functions are often changed in the tutorials. For example, in the first tutorial, a circle is supposed to be resized using a diameter function, but dimensions for the radius funtion are given. In tutorial 2, the create rectangle with two corners tool is supposed to be used, when the results shown are for the center and corner tool. Thi causes prroblems with normals in later steps. The whole book goes like this. The tutorials are good, if other resources are consulted when problems arise.
