Great and easy to use by yourself
I took on the project of residing my house on my own. I saw the fancy geko mounts you can get to hold the siding in place as you work your way up the wall however i read there was a problem that pulled the boards away from the wall which caused problems with the reveal. These were like a third of the cost and they function better than i had imagined. They are easy to use, you rest it on the previous board and throw a couple nails in, and then right before you nail past these you will want to make sure you remove the bracket just so you dont damage the panel and make it easier to remove. Removing before finalizing also makes it so you can sink the board closing to the house.

They work Installing siding yourself.
Retired Contractor here decided to give these a try and they work installing lap siding yourself. Best way I found is to use 2 nails only hold lap siding a 12ft section lap siding then remove bracket push cement board against wall and finish nailing lap siding.Somtimes gets stuck behind lap siding bracket to remove from siding take your hammer tap up on bottom bracket and should slip out for you. This tool works once you get use to using it...If you were doing siding day after day this tool is life saver as a Carpenter 40 yrs working on homes and construction projects..

Good for installing siding by yourself
I used them to install 5/16" Hardie siding. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but then they worked fairly well. They're especially handy if you're working by yourself; if nothing else they'll hold the plank in place while you get the first few nails in. It's still no substitute for having a helper.

Great for hanging siding alone!
I got these when I was putting siding on a shed and they worked well, allowing me to finish the job alone. They are a little difficult on some boards to get them to set in the beginning since there needs to be a small gap at the top of the previous board, but they did their job well - saving me from messing up the spacing. Siding looks like it was supposed to, nice and straight all the way around.
