CliffsNotes Math Review for Standardized Tests 3rd Edition (CliffsNotes Test Prep)

I'm a Harvard grad, SAT perfect scorer, and private tutor for the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT and ISEE since 2002.This is a great all-in-one book for anyone trying to regain or strengthen his/her math fundamentals in preparation for a standardized test. Yes, many of the math drills in this book are very basic when compared to the complex questions on standardized tests. However, these types of one-dimensional math problems, which usually focus on only one skill at a time, help provide the rote practice needed to build and strengthen the math fundamentals that first must be firmly in place in order for a student to then move onto higher-level math questions and concepts on a test such as the GRE or GMAT.I've been recommending this book to my students for years, but only now have gotten around to writing this review. It's a great buy for a math-phobic student with an inadequate math teacher, or for someone who hasn't taken a math class in many years and needs a basic refresher.

I'm a full-time tutor for tests like the GRE, SAT, and ACT. I'm happy to say that this 3rd edition is nearly the same as the excellent 2nd edition, which was my first concern (if it ain't broke...).Even better news: this addition goes into more detail about certain topics, like probability and statistics.This book's alignment to the Common Core is mostly lip service, but then again, the Common Core's standards are mostly lip service...All in all, this is my go-to book for students, especially GRE students, who don't have more than a few months but who need to build or rebuild their math concepts. It's a good supplement to the ETS GRE books.Also recommended for anyone taking a standardized test in the near future who wants to strength their math concepts.In my study plans, you'll find all my GRE prep recommendations.

Ilove this book I use to use it when I was younger to review for math test ASVAB , ACT etc. I used the 1st addition along time ago. Now I purchased it to help tutor my kids for their SAT AND PSAT great book for reviewing. You know the saying you don't use it you lose it. So even if you lose it this book will give you a great quick easy review that's not frustrating and very easy to pick up. I find other books to be boring to study this one is very easy and quick to the point.

Got this book so that I could help my fifth-grade Grandson with his math problems. I am learning math again! Will get one also for my other Grandson that just started Junior High School. If only the teachers could explain it as clear as the Cliff Notes do.

I bought this book for GMAT practice. It covers all major topics. Easy to follow. Although more comprehensive, if you started off with the second edition, you may feel slightly disoriented before you transition to the section you left off.

Read this book if are away from School for a while before going through Manhattan or Kaplan series .it`ll lay down ground work for GRE . Can't stress enough importance of this book.One of best investment you`ll make in a book .Simple easy explanations and exercises on beginning and end of chapter to reinforce concepts .Go get it or borrow .

Few mistakes. Though rare it was annoying

helps with the interquartile graphs, these are hard. It's very easy to use for 6th and 4th grade. Kids enjoy it.
