Great, portable stand for smaller lights, phones, other light objects!
Very impressed with this stand for what I need it for. Holding up smaller, lightweight things like hair lights, a quick eye-level phone shot, action cameras or even reflectors. It goes incredibly high and compacts down small. Can also be used as a selfie-stick, though I haven't tried it, it will make a great one when I need it for that. I will be buying a second one so I have a pair of these for all sorts of handy things. Build quality seems excellent as well! If you put anything too heavy on it and extend it way up high and have it leaning 90 degrees (like a tube light tilted that way for example), it will bend to the side but, don't use it for something that heavy, use a more robust stand. But even that same tube light mounted straight up holds just fine all the way extended, which is higher than a lot of regular light stands can go!

Very sturdy and well made
bought this to use with the Osmo Pocket 3 camera since it had a 1/4-20 thread. This is very well made and sturdy enough for what I am intending to use it for. These are described as light stands but I find it useful as a easily transportable tripod to use with the pocket 3. it telescopes almost too tall for what I will use it for but it is nice to know that I will have a little room if needed. The base opens up into a tripod and you can easily adjust how far the feet are spread out. It may have a tough time on unlevel surfaces but since the pocket 3 has it's own built in gimble, I am not worried about having it on a completely level surface since the camera will adjust for that. Overall it is a very compact and useful system.

Compact, Sturdy, and Tall Enough to Touch the Ceiling!
I use this tripod as a stand for battery-powered pocket lights for accent lighting in video work, and it’s fantastic. The build quality is excellent—it’s compact for storage but extends to a comically impressive 81"! Even at full height, it remains stable, though I wouldn’t recommend anything heavier than a pocket light at max extension. It’s perfect for quick, non-permanent setups and a great addition to any video or photography kit. Highly recommended!

Great Stand for lite weight Accessories but not to be confused for the mt-44 for vlogging
great quality tall extendable stand with adjustable 1/4 screw to attach most lights & other accessories and can but used as a tripod for small cameras but lose the ability to fully adjust unless you attach a bullhead when closed can easily fit in a standard book back Saturday aluminum built but since not made strictly for vlogging it doesn't have the rubber grip like the mt-44 that has built in grip to make better for hand held vlogging so if your looking for something mainly for on the go vlogging i suggest either the MT44 or the new tt38 but if your lookin for a stand for accessories such as lights or mic or even stationary camera stand for smaller cameras this can get the job done especially if willing to get additional attachment

Compact and versatile
I had to have this replaced as the first one I received the end of the box was smashed as if dropped from a considerable height or bashed head on against something solid. The second rod segment from the top was very difficult to pull out or push in. Whether this was from damage or came from the factory like that I don't know. The segments on the replacement all push in or pull out with about the same amount of force. This tripod/light stand is everything as advertised except it does not have a 360 degree ball head. The stand head tilts only 90 degrees in two directions (180 degrees total). There is no ball head. This is obvious from the photos. Pros: very compact when closed up. Extends to over 70 inches. Sturdy construction. Rotating knob for the 1/4-20 screw - you don't have to spin your gear or the entire stand to mount your gear. Can be used as a light stand, camera tripod, selfie-stick/extension rod. cons: rather heavy when using as a selfie-stick or extension rod putting strain on my wrists - may not be a problem with stronger wrists. Thread part on the legs is plastic and the threaded collar is aluminum - in my experience this combination in time leads to the plastic threads stripping - time will tell. When closed the legs clip together tightly and I find it difficult to unclip them - may loosen in time. The head is mainly plastic and you need to pull on the head to start extending the center posts - will the head break and come out of the center post? Despite these concerns I give this stand/tripod five stars for its overall design and functionality. It is mostly aluminum in construction and quite sturdy and stable with lower extension. After I add a panning ball head this will be prefect for my smaller camcorders.

A budget buy that just may be good enough
Price is the major attraction here. I have yet to conclude whether they are a good compromise across the board, (height, weight, sturdiness, ease of set up, etc.) or not good enough at anything. My main fear is that they will prove to be a foot shorter than really needed. Secondarily, they seem a little flimsy and I am not convinced the telescoping poles (which lack click stops or set screws) will not loosen up over time. I like that they have a tilt feature so that you can angle things up and down or side to side (but not both, there is only one axis of freedom).

I bought this, returned it, regretting returning it and bought it again
I bought this on a great sale, but decided I didn't really need it before opening it, so I returned it. Right after that, I was in a situation where I regretting returning it as it would have been prefect. But it wasn't on sale again, so I wound up buying it again anyway. It's great for hand-holding a small on or off camera flash, and I love how short it is and how long it can go. I use it for lighting backgrounds, but I can also use it for location shooting when I mount a FlashPoint/Godox AD200 on it (off to one side or the other). I packs up small, is lightweight, easy to extend and lock, and sits solidly on the ground. So it saves me from one more light stand when I go out on a shoot. However, will not give you the confident holding power for a larger light (like an AD600) in any situation where it might be blown or knocked over, nor will it hold something with a softbox large than 12x12.

This has been an excellent product for capturing couple photos of just my wife and me. We always struggled to take pictures together, but now it’s so convenient. The build quality is solid, and it offers good stability—I even used this monopod in a small stream, and it remained stable. The only drawback is that it doesn’t come with a smartphone mount or a Bluetooth clicker, so you’ll need to purchase those separately.

This is one hell of a beast. Its big, tall, solid and great for youtube content creating. I have 3 models, this being my biggest and most stable cos of the longer arms. May be a little big for some bags so you may want the smaller models.

Good selfie stick + tripod alternative replacement for travel light peoples, especially for smartphone photographers. Price OK. Quality is right. Very handy. The cons are: need a level ground to stand steady, and NO heavy gears. Would be nice if comes with a detachable smartphone holder also. Will buy again and will recommend it.
