Q: How many balls do I need for an adult blanket?

6-8 skeins I think, I am making a lg baby blanket and using 3, and may Need to get a 4th. Basically depends on how big you want it. Also the stitch, I'm using single crochet.

Q: Does this feel the same as the bernat blanket?

It honestly depends on the dye lot you get. I ordered this in the baby sand color twice, the first one was super plush like a baby blanket. The second one was more textured feeling like the regular blanket yarn.
