Defender Series Case for iPhone SE (1st gen - 2016) and iPhone 5/5s - Retail Packaging - Realtree AP Pink (White/Gunmetal Grey/AP Pink Design)

May 2021 - I had heard of otterbox from a friend, so this was the first phone protector I purchased. This came with a screen protector part of the whole product and a clip harness. I already had installed a screen "protector" so took that clear piece off (followed another reviewer on this), then put the rest of the box on the phone. UPDATE 1: May 2021 - It is still protecting my phone amazingly well 2 years later! The clip 'harness' is great! It clips well to the side of my pants. It's really tight, so it's hard for my hands to open the clip part wide enough to fit over a belt on the pants. I've clipped it to the sides of my pants, a purse, and in a pocket. The clip has a lip on it as well, so it does not slide off; in fact, it holds so tightly that it is sometimes difficult to take off. It has been and continues to be a great product. When the time comes, I will replace it with another Otterbox Defender product. I ALSO love the design and color - not too bright, well done, attractive, and easy to see that it's mine. UPDATE: MAY 2022 - the upper plastic "LIP" piece that attaches onto/into the phone to help hold it in the holster, broke off. The bottom two corners and belt clip still strong, but can't use it any longer due to the one top piece. I'm pleased that this has lasted so well. The cover itself is still going strong and I still prefer it to any other.

LOVE THIS! I got an iPhone SE after the iPhone X came out and was worried this wouldn’t fit but it did because I couldn’t find many SE specific cases. I love the design as I live in the country. And work on a farm - this case seems extremely protective as the bezel comes up around the front sides of the screen and the back camera a decent amount. It doesn’t make holding the phone harder but it is something to get use to after having a bare phone for so long. It does present a large profile but it makes it more visible because I occasionally misplace my phone. And I love that it came with a belt clip. No extra cost. Did I mention I only paid $10? Amazing. I couldn’t be happier.

My wife likes the design on it very much. It is rather nice looking, the picture on it is clear and well done. Other than that, it is as good as any other otterbox defender for iphone 5 c/s. That is to say that it is pretty good, with a few minor reservations. As compared to the otterbox for the iphone 4: - the case is quite a bit lighter. The phone too is quite a bit lighter, leading to an overall change that is rather noticeable - the materials are of a higher quality. the exterior rubber is not as spongy as the material used for the iphone4, and therefore picks up less junk - the belt clip (which my wife doesn't use, but I do) is much worse. Falls off your belt easily.

this is for the iphone 5. yes the other iphone 5 models will fit into it, but it's designed for the first 5, with a covered home button, so you can't use fingerprint log in. it's fine. it's a good case, but it was advertised that it was for all the iphone 5 models. I have a 5s, and now can't use my fingerprint.

I received this case about two weeks ago. I bought it before I bought the phone, because I want to put the phone in the case as soon as I get it (and I'll have it in about two weeks). Like they say, "Unbox it, then Otterbox it". But I tried it on my friend's iPhone 5 (which is the exact same size as the 5s), and I'm writing this review based on that (I'll edit once I get mine). I only had the case on my friend's phone for a couple of minutes, though, so keep that in mind. -The Fit: The case was incredibly snug on the phone. I actually heard a click when I put the back piece of the inner shell on the phone. I don't know if that'll be good long-term, but at least it means that the phone is secure in the case. -Screen Protector: I don't know why so many people are complaining about the screen protector getting in the way. I could easily operate my friend's phone with the screen protector on it. It worked just like it would with any other screen protector. -The Bulk: Maybe it's because this will be my first iPhone, but I don't think that the case makes the phone all that big. I could still operate the phone with one hand, with no problems. Also, maybe it's because I don't plan on carrying the phone in my pocket. -Button Use: I've also heard complaints about the buttons being hard to use. Maybe it was just me, but the volume and lock screen buttons worked like there wasn't even a case on them. So no complaints there. -Port Covers: I'll admit, the covers are a little tricky. The mute switch was sort of difficult to use, but it shouldn't be a really big problem unless you have really big fingers. And I actually didn't get to try out the headphone jack or the charger port, since she didn't have either of the plugs with her. (Now for the things that I couldn't test) -Touch ID: Considering that I don't have the phone yet, and my friend's phone was just a 5, I don't even know if the fingerprint scanner works within itself. I definitely have no idea if it works with the case. Also, the issue of the dust and moisture getting in through the hole wasn't something that I could test out, since I only used her phone for a few minutes. -Discoloration: Don't put in in your jeans pocket, especially not if the jeans are dark blue. It'll dye the outer shell of the case and ruin it So, that's all I know. Like I said, I'll fill in the parts that I don't have any information on once I actually get the phone. Until then, however, I definitely recommend it, especially in the design that I got. The picture is crisp and beautiful and the colors are vibrant.

Best case! My son threw my phone down a flight of stairs, dropped it on concrete, ceramic tile, splashed it with water etc. no problem. While playing Humpty Dumpty he tried to smash him (and my phone) on a concrete parking lot barrier....nothing happened! People cringe when they see the brutality my phone is exposed to but I don't bat an eyelash.If you have little kids you need this case! I bought knock offs and the rubber layer starts to come away from the phone in a few weeks. This one fits like new for years!!!! I bought this case a second time when I upgraded my phone.

I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, and I'm very pleased. If you're clumsy like me, you want a sturdy case and this is perfect. I like the built in screen cover; my old phone had one of the stick-on covers, but this is smoother and more responsive. It's also light and very pretty. My only complaint is that the mute switch has a rubber cover over it, making it harder to switch on and off quickly. I may remove it myself. Overall, two thumbs up.

Very nice and actually protects my phone great ! Only thing that bugs me is dog hair gets all in screen protector but not big deal at all!:)

My daughter is accident prone with her phones. This is the perfect solution to keep it safe! One thing to consider is the opening in the front for the Touch ID. This will affect its ability to keep the phone dry if water gets onto the front face. Other than that, it's a great product. We have used Otterbox products for various devices over the years. Had one warranty issue that was honoured and the new part arrived in less than a week from Otterbox.

Case is perfect! Except the home button is wearing out & it’s peeling.
