A great all in 1 printer
I’ve been using the Brother printer for several months, and it’s been a reliable all-in-one printer for home use. The print quality, especially for text documents, is sharp and clear, and the colour prints are vibrant enough for everyday needs. The scanning function is straightforward and connects smoothly to my computer and mobile devices using the app. The setup was mostly painless with the wireless features and the ability to print directly from my phone. The printer is reasonably quiet during operation, which is a plus for a home environment. The paper tray holds a decent amount, reducing frequent refills. One downside is that the ink cartridges can be a bit pricey, so keeping spare toners on hand is advisable if you print a lot. Also, occasional network drops require a quick reconnection but nothing too disruptive overall. For the price, it offers good value with solid performance and it feels durable.

A beautiful and functional printer-scanner
A beautiful printer & scanner. Such easy setup; and even though it is a a big one-time cost, it is 1000% worth every penny. I am very happy with it's functionality and quick printing. After having a nightmare of a previous printer, I am very pleased with this. 10/10 would recommend.

Excellent All In One Machine.
Got this delivered today. Was a bit concerned when I saw 2 delivery drivers with it and the box said 2 people to carry it! But it was fine and I got it upstairs on my own. What was fantastic from the start was the printer was in a huge strong bag WITH handles! So it was incredibly easy to lift out of the box, I removed all the tape and packaging and just turned it on. Had it setup with my iPhone in minutes, so easy, then set it up on my Mac in minutes too! Did a test print fine. I am very impressed with its specs! Networking, Apple AirPrint, app for your phone or tablet cloud features, and 4 separate toners. 2 scanners, and it’ll take photo paper! For a pretty good price, not long ago something like this would cost several thousand pounds. I needed a printer that can just sit there unused for ages, and an inkjet can’t do that as the print head will clog up. And of course you waste inks as they clean themselves all the time. Inkjets are best at photos though, but for general use you can’t beat a laser, or LED in this case. Touch screen is easy to use too.

Great except the initial set-up via the app wouldn't work.
Great price, features and print quality. Easy to use. The only reason why it's not 5 stars is the initial set up wasn't simple and straightforward. Set up via the app didn't work as per the instructions. I managed to get it connected through trial and error using the units touch screen.

Great printer for home or small business use
Love this printer. I have been using Brother laser printers over two decades for its reliable quality. For the last one I have used it for over 12 years and it only recently broke down which caused me to buy this one. Extremely easy to setup and link with computers and other electronic devices, and the printing speed and quality is great.

Excellent multi function printer
I decided to switch to a laser after the inkjets I have had in the past kept clogging up. The print quality of text is far better that inkjets, although not quite as good for photos. The functions on this printer are excellent and thr copying function with the paper feeder works really well. I have also been able to print from my phone which I have had issues with in the past.

Poor quality and many annoying issues
I was thinking whether to give it two stars as it was easy to set up and the print quality has been ok so far, BUT there are a LOT of ANNOYING things and I would not buy it again. The faults listed here are in the order of me noticing them, not in the order of annoyance/inconvenience. 1) I notice a slight smell every time I print, not burning, but the specific "toner" smell you can feel in printer shops. I never had that with my previous printer from another brand. It worries me that I don't know what I'm breathing in as the printer is on my desk and quite close to my face. 2) the manual feed, which I use to headed paper or labels, doesn't work well - it doesn't grab the page evenly and the printed text is not level despite using the guides on the side, they don't help. This is annoying as I often waste a more expensive paper if I need to reprint. 3) the scanner glass will not cover a full A4 page, there's at least 5mm on every edge that does not get scanned despite the glass being slightly bigger than A4. Why?! I need to scan documents that unfortunately are printed almost edge to edge and it will cut the top or the bottom so I end up using mobile scanner app, very inconvenient. The scanner application is also very basic, you can't change the order of the scanned pages before saving them to pdf, for example. The files are huge, too. If you try to decrease the size, the scan quality falls dramatically - not the case with my previous printer. 4) I haven't found a way to print out a simple toner report, how many pages were printed with the toner, when it was last replaced, how many pages are estimated to be left. You can only see a tiny image on display but you have no idea how much toner you have actually got left. Then it will stop suddenly, telling you to replace a toner now, you're lucky if you had ordered one in anticipation. Otherwise, there's no way to override the request although the print quality might still have been satisfactory - I haven't noticed any fading yet. Also, I can't check how many pages I had printed but it's far less than a promised 1000 and I mainly print text. (I did manage to dig out a 5 page (!) report where it said it was just a little over 600 pages - so rather disappointing and far off the 1000) Changing the toner is flimsy as you need to separate it from a drum, make sure you have where to put the parts so that you don't scratch anything when assembling it back together. Again, my old printer from a different brand was so much easier, I could change the toners with one hand with my eyes closed, not this one. 5) If you get a paper jam, you need to remove all toners (!) - again, clear your desk so you can put them all safely in order not to scratch anything and the belt (!) in order to remove the stuck paper. How many jams before you damage a part! 6) it keeps asking me to change the admin password - what for, it's used in a home office! I've only used this printer for 5 weeks and I already see how annoying it is and I regret I didn't choose the brand I had always used when my old printer died after many, many happy years. I also regret I let the return window close thinking maybe I'll get used to these things.
