Q: Does anyone else's batch have a very strong ammonia smell? A different brand had none, but the bag has a very sharp ammonia smell. Not sure if normal.

DO NOT BUY this from Bulk Supplements. I purchased the 1kg bag July 2016 and it had a horrible ammonia-type odor. I contacted Bulk Supplements directly for a refund or replacement and they said (because I opened the bag) they will only refund me partially (about $10) and I am responsible for paying for the shipping. Save your money, buy this from a more responsible company.

Q: Is this made in the U.S.A.

The seller (BulkSupplements) states in an answer here that the product was not manufactured in the USA. However, the description under the pictures at the top of the page states that is was manufactured in the USA. Can the seller please respond with a correction to one of those statements?

This product is pure as in it's only has L-Glutamine. I am not sure what it means by free form. There are 2 (forms) isomers in glutamine. These are L-glutamin and D- glutamine. As I recall, when amino acids are isolated, meaning taken out of whatever the vegitable or food it came from, it changes the molecular form from D-isomer to L-isomers. So if free form, it probably means isolated form, meaning L-glutamine. As in Alanyl-L-glutamine, that's a different molecule. Alanyl L Glutamine is a systhesic di(means, 2)amino acid. Its an amino acid made of 2 essencial amino acid, Alanine and L-glutamine. And it is made by a japanese pharmaceutical compnay. Supposedly, it has a benefit of Alanine and glutamin. Hope this helps

Glutamine's density is similar to Creatine. FLUFFY. It absorbs well into OJ, Milk, Shakes. Sometimes I even take it with plain water and gulp it down fast.
