I'm not sure why so many people out there are either having issues with this pin-pointer, or just don't like it. For the record, I've been using the carrot for a little over five years and have had zero issues with it. I know what it does, and how reliable it is. What attracted me to the Nokta AccuPOINT was the fact that it is rechargeable and the two-tone ferrous alarm. I've used it on two outings so far and I REALLY like it. People are complaining all over the place about the lack of sensitivity, to me one bar from maximum is the exact equivalent of the second sensitivity level (one down from the third) on the carrot. So for me, that's great!! The two tone ferrous alarm worked perfectly. For a while I was digging everything and the AccuPOINT was 100% accurate. Everything from nails, bottlecaps and anything with rust on it, it told me that it was crap and it was accurate. The only thing it doesn't warn you about is can-slaw (soda cans) I guess aluminum escapes from the two-tone alarm, but that's not a big deal. I've seen a lot of complaints about the menu... It's not that difficult people, take the time to learn how to navigate it. Once you get it set up, you really don't need to do much on it. If I had one thing to complain about, it is a little heavier then the carrot due to the rechargeable battery, but even that's not anything to really cry over. The benefits far outweigh my small complaint and I would definitely buy this again. The carrot has now become my backup :)

First off, I don't have any issue with how the menus work. It's a one button system and you just have to get used to this. I've used this for about 3 months with regular outings. I love the two-tone ferrous/non-ferrous indicator, what a time saver when determining if you should keep digging. Battery life is excellent; it was over a month out of the box before I put it on a charger and I used it a lot. The flashlight has come in handy a few times and works well. Haven't used it under water much yet, but the little I've put it under seemed to be acceptable. Bottom line for me, I am loving this pin pointer.

Awesome piece of kit, easy to use, highly sensitive, very accurate, pick up many different types of metal, easy to adjust, and get you right on top of things that pinpoint accuracy.

Ive tested this with 24k gold wire i use for glassblowing... It can pickup larger bits very close to it on its highest sensitivity.. Most placer/nuggets youll find will have iron, silver ect mixed in it so may pickup easier, js... experience may vary. . I have a Gold Kruzer and pinpointer.. While i have mixed feels about perma batteries and buying outside of US brands.. theyve served me well.. I dont live in a heavy gold area... I pan my rivers on occasion and trash hunt. Most gold ive found is from post hole digging LOL. Its just a hobby.

Well I have nothing bad to say so far. I’ve always used a Garrett pinpointed. No problems at all with it. But it is a 9 volt battery. At $7 or 8 per battery. This one is rechargeable. I think my Garrett has become my back up now.

I used mine for the first time last week and it works well. The settings are fairly easy to get used to if you read the manual first. I did have one issue though. Within the first hour I lost the replaceable tip. Since the tip and the pointer under it are identical color, I did not even realize it had come off. They seem to snap on tight but, I think it probably came off while poking into a plug and is now part of the earth. Thankfully they give you a spare.

I considered two other brands ( both red ) before purchasing the AccuPoint. When received I charged it up , tested it and am very happy with my purchase.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Akkupoint Pinpointer. Vom Start weg glücklich... zumindest ist mir nach etwas über einer Woche noch nichts negatives aufgefallen, was den ersten Eindruck trüben könnte: eine solide Verbesserung zu meinem alten, sehr gebrauchten orangenen (2014er) Garrett, der gerne mal piept, wann er will... Der Nokta ist technisch einfach neuer und so aus einer anderen Dimension, was Optionen, Genauigkeit und Zuverlässigkeit angeht. Die Anpassbarkeit und Leistung / Reichweite / Metallunterscheidung sticht somit den alten Garette deutlich aus. Ich empfehle auch Nichtbesitzern eines Nokta Detektors, diesem hier mal eine Chance zu geben. Es muss nicht immer Ga... sein, wenn's um Pinpointer geht. Als alter Minelab- Freund waren mir die PPs der australischen Marke für den Preis auch nicht leistungsstark und 'komfortabel' (Einstellungen/Anpassbarkeit) genug. Der gelbe Nokta erschien mir auf Anhieb überlegen. Zudem, Bluetooth- KH nutze ich bei Minelab sowieso nicht, auf eine Systemkompatibilität (jede Marke hat blöderweise ja ihr eigenes BT Zubehör) kann ich verzichten. Dazu kommt noch, dass weder an meinen Minelabs, noch einem älteren Bounty Hunter Gerät bislang irgeoStörungen aufgetreten sind- bzw. umgekehrt am Akkupoint. Und von der Haltbarkeit her, hoffe ich mal, dass mein erster -sehr guter- Eindruck bestehen bleibt. Eingebauter Akku... wir werden sehen, wie lange das hält. Andererseits, läuft da auch keine Batterie mehr aus. Laufzeit ist auf jeden Fall enorm hoch. Stundenzahl kann ich (noch) nicht benennen, da er nach ca. 20 Stunden noch nicht einmal leer ist- die Angabe des Herstellers liegt bei ca. 25h Laufzeit. Die Bedienung ist trotz Display und Eintastensteuerung erstaunlich intuitiv. Funktionen sind selbsterklärend und gut umgesetzt. Robuste Ausführung in sehr hoher Fertigungsqualität. Duie abnehmbare Spitze ist ebenso wie der (mehrfach, elektrisch wie mechanisch) variable Lautsprecher eine gute Idee. Der automatische Verlierschutz Pieper auch.

This is my first Nokta pinpointer and I’m very impressed with the quality. Detection is fast and accurate, making it much easier to locate targets once you’ve dug a plug. Sensitivity is good and consistent, and the vibration/audio feedback is clear even outdoors. The build feels robust and well made, and the waterproof feature is a big plus for wet ground or shallow water. Battery life has been solid so far, and it’s simple to operate without unnecessary settings. The only minor downside is that it can be quite sensitive in some environments, so you need to get used to how it reacts around mineralised soil or other metal nearby but that’s expected with a precise pinpointer, as well as the fact that cost 100£ I had 3 - 2 of those low and mid tier this is definitely the most accurate. Overall, it’s a reliable and well-designed tool that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Great choice for both beginners and more experienced detectorists.
