I've been using these for well 6+ months and have immediately noticed an improvement of my water quality. Particularly i use this in my tea kettle and espresso machine and these appliances don't get the same hard water they use to. Definitely recommend if hardwater is an issue for you.

Update - forgot to mention how good the water tastes filtered through this Brita system. My daughter refills her huge water bottle everyday with this filtered water rather than the cold, filtered water from the fridge. The size, ease of installation and use, filter quality and amount of water flow makes this Brita system work so well. Our area is terrible for limestone in the water. Doesn’t hurt the taste but does make havoc on your coffee makers and kettles. Doesn’t matter if electric or manual as the minerals settle in and ruin the insides. Only frequent, regular cleaning keeps the limestone from destroying them. Since using these filters with this Brita system, I haven’t had to clean our electric coffee maker at all. Same with our electric kettle.

These BRITA filters are a game changer for water quality. The taste is noticeably better, and it's great knowing impurities are being removed. Easy to install, and each one lasts a good while. Highly recommended if you care about your water!

The cartridge does not fit well in the Crofton 1 gallon Pitcher from Aldi. There is no silicone seal ring around the top of the cartridge. Water runs through quickly and I can't tell if it is going past the sides of the cartridge or just filtering fast. Even though Crofton says to use Brita cartridges, I'm not sure they fit quite right.

I’ve been using BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance filters for around two years, and they have been very reliable. The water tastes noticeably cleaner, with chlorine smell and aftertaste greatly reduced. Tea and coffee also taste better. They work well in reducing limescale, which has helped protect my kettle and coffee machine, especially in a hard-water area. Installation is easy, the fit is perfect, and each cartridge lasts close to the claimed lifespan. The 6-pack is good value for regular use. They are slightly more expensive than generic alternatives, but the consistent performance and improved taste make them worth it. Overall, a product I trust and would recommend.
