I find this cuts well.The only issue I found is if I try turning the work when it is a little soft, the tool being sharp can dig in.

Disappointing
All of my forty years so far as a professional potter I have always used the cheap and cheerful (£1 each) stainless steel double ended ribbon tools. I sharpen them a few times then throw them away when the metal wears down to nothing. I recently spotted the Xiem tool range on Amazon and purchased a 'Medium Triangle'. After its first use today (trimming the bases of six medium textured stoneware bowls) all of the Titanium Nitrite on the cutting edges has worn off (see photos) and there is also visible wear/blunting to the cutting edge with actual metal loss. At this rate, a few more trimming sessions and I can't see this tool holding out for much longer. The Amazon listing does mention 'a thin layer Titanium Nitrite'...it must be! I only decided to an upgrade and purchase this tool at this price because of the stated qualities of the titanium-fused blades...a resilient cutting edge, increased strength and hardness etc. Sorry Xiem, but this tool just didn't perform as I had hoped and expected for the money.
