Works great long battery life

This battery started not holding charge in about 3 months for more then 15 minutes. At 6 months it won’t take a charge at all! Don’t buy this one!!!!

Full disclaimer: I do not have experience with a dyson and its original batteryI got a dyson with a dead battery from a friend and purchased this battery as a replacement. Installing it was tricky for me and my dad. I had to watch a few short videos to see how a dyson can be taken apart, but after the original battery was removed, we were struggling to put the new battery on! The hole for one of the screws was not aligning, but we realized the solution was just to tighten the other screws for it to finally align properly.After charging it, the first few tests made the battery seem like junk. The charge didn't last, the vacuum would work for a few minutes or less and then die. I realized the vacuum cannot be used on MAX mode, since after "dying" on max mode, I decided to switch the setting and viola: a functioning vacuum! On the lighter setting, the vacuum doesn't die immediately and I'm actually able to clean! I have not used the filters that came with but they seem normal to me.

My dyson v6 battery was dying 1 min after using it, called dyson and they were out of stock for the battery replacement and ofcourse the warranty had just ended. So out of pocket was 130-140 dollar plus the wait for the battery to be in stock. I found this and had to try it out, it works just fine and no issue so far. It's been few months now :)

The original battery on my Dyson lasted 7 years. This one last only 6 months. I've never used the MAX option either. Don't spend your money on it!

Seems our Dyson battery has to be replaced at least every 6 months, and bought this to prepare for the next switch. Good price, have purchased before and been satisfied.
