Flow84 Low Profile Mechanical Keyboard, 75 Percent Rechargeable Wireless Keyboards with Bluetooth and Wired Connection for Windows, Mac OS/Black Phantom Tactile Switches

As someone that owns/collects keyboards, this one stands out in the crowd. It has to do with the feel and sound of this very small keyboard, it has no right to feel and sound like it does for it's size. It sounds and feels like a bigger, more expensive keyboard. The sound and feel has been described as a "creamy" typing experience, and I have to agree. Very smooth, very quiet, and just feels amazing to type on. A rare achievement in a keyboard of this size. It reminds me a bit of some of the smaller Keychron K series, only smoother even. Now is it perfect? Nah. I didn't care for the tactile, or the linear switches. They do offer a clicky switch, but...not installed in the keyboard. So if you are a fan of clicky switches, you will have to do as I did, and purchase them separately. So once you add up the price of the keyboard (it is not cheap!) AND the additional 90 key pack of clicky key switches (it is hot swap!), you are talking about a pretty expensive venture into a small keyboard. Was it worth it? For me, yeah. For sure. It is a unique keyboard, that I have no keyboard that matches it for typing experience for it's size. Now, that said, if you are more mainstream, and like tactile or even silent linear switches, they have your number....IF you like the color choices they give you. By that, I mean you can get tactile switches, IF you like a black keycap keyboard. If you want linear switches, you have one choice; white keycaps. Why they limit the choices like this is a mystery to me. I even wrote them, and they say basically, that is what we offer. Period. I was looking into a full size, 100 key version, and if I wanted clicky (Wizard) switches, I'd have to buy TWO packs of switches, since they come only in packs of 90. Come on, Lofree, where are our options!? All this said, this is, in my opinion, the Rolls Royce of typing experience in this size keyboard, period. At least for stock keyboards. And they know it.

I love this keyboard. Great quality and perfect size! The Bluetooth connectivity isn't great in my opinion, because the keyboard keeps sleeping every 10 minutes to save battery, but the moment you start typing it misses the first 2-3 keys you press. The solution, I always use it wired.

I LOVE the size, quality build, and feel of these keyboards. The keycap material feels somehow silky and high-quality, and the key action is likewise appealing. But all THREE of the examples we've tried stopped working in less than an hour. They've been connected to an M1 and an M2 Macbook Pro. We use our keyboards with the cable, but I also turned on Bluetooth on the first two and paired them, tried them that way for a minute or so to make sure they worked, then switched Bluetooth off and plugged them back in. Everything was fine for ten or twenty minutes, but after a period of inactivity, they just refused to function when we resumed typing. The lighting stayed on but keyboard input never got to the screen. Today I plugged in the third keyboard (I bought another pair, hoping the first two were not representative), used it ONLY with the cable, never switching to Bluetooth and pairing it to a computer, and got the same result: worked fine for a short while, then I left the room for maybe half an hour, and the keyboard no longer worked when I returned. VERY frustrating. Bad batch of keyboards? Our Keychron keyboards still work fine, and of course the built-in keyboards on our Macbooks are also working. I suspect a bad chip in the Lowfree units, but whatever the cause, the Lowfrees are paperweights now. I'm not even going to unbox the fourth keyboard.

I’ve had over 20 different mechanical keyboards over the past 8+ years. I’ve built my own, and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on different keyboards over this time. I was in the market for a low profile keyboard (granted this is the first one I’ve ever purchased), but I have to say that I’m blown away by how exceptional this one feels and sounds to type on. I originally opted for the black (tactile) switches as I thought the shine-through problem wasn’t present with the backlight, but sure enough it is but only noticeable when my room is dark. This is not a deal breaker for me, and considering I got the keyboard for $130 on a Black Friday sale, I still think this board provides great value and a fantastic typing experience for the price. In terms of feel, and overall build quality I believe this keyboard has one of the best typing experiences over any other keyboard I’ve had previously. (My previous board was an Aula F75, I’ve tried keychron boards with custom switches and hand lubing, Glorious etc) I understand why many of those who are reviewing this product are not happy with the backlight issue, but I understand from a manufacturing standpoint considering this is a relatively new company and the key caps are very thin. I personally just disable the backlight when my room is dark. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would buy another again. If the backlight problem is a deal breaker, I would look into Numphy keyboards although I spent ~3 hours comparing this board to Numphy and the Lofree flow was a better fit for me.

If you're in for a tactile feeling and a thock sound, this keyboard is a must. However, the lighting sucks a lot, its so dim I'd rather rely on my own monitors' light than these baby leds. Also, bluetooth isn't that great, sometimes it laggs. That said, overall, if wired... this is a really nice keyboard, slick design and everything else feels premium, even for that hefty price tag.

Keyboards tend to be very personal, in terms of each user may have their own priorities for critical or desired features. Yours may be different from mine, of course. * Rollover mechanical keyboard feel. I've used the original IBM keyboard, which in early days set the standard for mechanical feedback. * Quiet (relatively) for a mechanical rollover feel keyboard. * Key annotation for both Mac and Windows, as I use both, sometimes on the same system * Wireless connectivity as an option is OK, but wired connection and operation independent of batteries is a must. * If battery equipped, it must be internal rechargeable, when using a wired connection. * 98% of the time I use a wired connection- the start up lag and pausing and missed key punches of BlueTooth keyboards annoy me, so I avoid them- even on my iPad Pro. * My three primary systems are on compact sit-stand desks, so the ideal keyboard for me is relatively small form factor, BUT, with the basic set of axuilllary keys- Home, End, Page up, Page down. cursor keys, Print Screen, Insert, Delete. The numeric keypad is not essential to me, and with typical layout considerably increases the side of the keyboard. * Mechanical construction: I really prefer metal frame keyboards- not plastic. I'm an engineer, and a writer, it's just one of my quirks. This LOFREE FLOW keyboard fulfills all of those requirements, other than low cost- but I bought mine on a Black Friday deal, and that eased some of the sting. I've been using it for a week, and for MY needs and preferences, it's head and shoulders above the pack- and I have the feeling, that like a well designed and manufactured computer (think the 2013 Mac Pro's I'm still using) it will give good service for years. Definitely buying more of them.

It's a really exceptionally-sounding keyboard (the kalih low profile tactiles are wonderful), but the keyboard is pretty fragile. Mine stopped working after about 6 months of use (LEDs flash bright but no input to the computer in both wired and wireless). Looks like a common issue with the ribbon cable across these, so would be cautious with them. If you do get it, do not recommend using it as a travel keyboard, even with the case.

This is my go to keyboard! I love it. The sound is perfect, and the feel when typing is perfect as well. Keys are not too soft nor too stiff. The look of this keyboard is so nice. Has a decent weight to it, but nothing bothersome. The nice aluminum edges really make this keyboard stand out. If I had any complaint, it would be that I do wish the backlighting was a lot brighter. Also, I do wish that it would stay connected to my MacBook without timing out. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I do wish this was an option you can turn off. I'm assuming it's to help with batter life, but I do still feel it should be a user option. Other than that, if you like the way this keyboard looks, just watch some YouTube videos for the sound test, and if you're happy with that as well....BUY IT! You won't regret it!
