This is a sanitizer, not a cleaner. 3 other answers say this *requires rinsing*, which is not the case. This product is a *final rinse* low-foam sanitizer - instructions say drain and let air dry. I've used it for years.

Q: Can you use it in the dishwasher?

I would not recommend that - it is listed as low foaming, but still too much for a dishwasher. Check with your machine's manufacturer for an acceptable additive if you are worried about sanitization...or just run hi-temp option.
