This lid is exactly like the original one that came with our food processor , fits perfectly and interlocks to enable safe use. It's great to find a replacement part that works so well, saved us from having to buy a whole new machine! The plastic feels sturdy enough, though I'm not sure if it's quite as robust as the original lid we had, which seemed a bit heavier,duty.
