it works fine with bluetooth keyboard and trackpad linked to my Mac mini All ports work well The USB3 ports support attaching a floppy 3.5" drive (old Infocom discs) and a Samsung Blu ray drive - working well with MakeMKV. Not tested using both at the same time! I have a 2TB Samsung SSD in the drive space and it works well as a Time Machine disc. No dropouts overnight, but it did dismount this am - I don't know why. The drives are not set to sleep and no power glitches. Perhaps in need of a firmware upgrade? I presume that the controller for this hub can be updated? I'll keep an eye on this Summary - looks great and works as advertised (better than as the blurb says that will not support drives attached to the front ports (does not support the Apple super drive - who still has one of these around?) Updated: after a week or two, I can confirm the problem with the disc drive being unmounted has gone. I did two things: 1) in settings, set 'prevent automatic sleeping when display is off' to ON 'put hard disks to sleep when possible' set to OFF (the drive is an SSD, so no need to spin discs down 2)) replaced the USB C cable with a short length cable from Anker - I did think of trying the original cable but it is now working well, so why rock the boat! Now, the system is working faultlessly and has 5 stars

Easy to set up and fitted an internal SSD. No compatibility issues. Works very well, fast and does not get hot. Good value and well built. The Mac mini sits on top perfectly.

Everything works

Returned the first unit as the SD card slot was faulty. Wishing I’d just taken a refund. The data transfer speed on this item is absolutely abysmal. Takes an absolute age to transfer either from the SSD or card slot. Would not recommend. Additionally when plugging things into the USB-C port on the front the entire hub then often completely shuts down. Very unhappy with this.

When you want ports on the front (instead of the back - Apple are you listening!) this is an amazing little add-on and at a great priced. Bought as i needed the extra storage space AND the extra ports i.e. card reader - and a very simple process to get a 2.5" sata drive added. Goes great with my silver mac mini, no issues with port usage i.e. things power correctly. highly recommended.

This sits below the mac mini with a USB-C cable to connect them. Once that's done, you have lots of extra ports without having cables all over the place.

Really worth the money. I use the internal memory slot as a backup

very handy. got a sad in it and it works as expected. handy for front port usb etc
