EUFY Security Flood Camera is a good investment.
Very good product. The instructions are very clear and the set up on the app is very thorough, clear and easy to understand and get working right away. The mountability is easy to DIY and it looks well made. I am having no problems with this camera and appreciate the decision to purchase. The AI function on the EUFY camera is very perceptive and its area ratio sensitivity is remarkable. The lens follows the subject from a side to side up and down view approach so it captures every detail of the subjects area. The app must use the full battery and not the saving mode to function correctly. I previously owned a SWANN security flood camera. Do not buy SWANN products from SAM's club. SWANN customer service is very poor and its fixed mount is unstable and subject to camera theft. Relative in cost to the previous SWANN camera, this EUFY security flood light camera was cheaper and is better quality than SWANN. In addition the playback is remarkable and has the time and date stamp, an alarm, longitude and latitude reading for occurrence I.D. I am very happy with this camera.

Excellent camera, just make sure to get the home base too!
Wow, I am impressed so far! This video of the cute feline was taken while I was fast asleep, the camera itself is tracking the cat. I blacked out the areas for privacy. If you notice the cat doesn’t even hear the camera moving, it’s extremely quiet. I have watched it track me and I also do not hear anything and you can also hardly tell it’s moving unless you know about it and are staring it it!! You can also turn the AI tracking completely off and just have it on a fixed area if you want. I did get the Eufy home base S380 unit with a separate (not included) Samsung 1tb SSD (exact model in my review under the home base) that slides right into the homebase and then I also keep the home base hooked up to the router with a Cat 8 40gb 2000 MHz Ethernet cable (a short Ethernet cable is included with the homebase but I needed it longer) and then the camera itself is to WiFi via the home base and it’s working great so far. The homebase acts as storage and a WiFi extender and if hooked up to your internet router with an Ethernet cable it’s strong and can record 24 hours if you want it to! I would absolutely recommend getting the homebase with this camera. You can also just hook the homebase to your internet with WiFi but I feel it is stronger with the cable. I’m a single mom but dad taught me well. So I flipped all the circuit breakers off to cut of the electricity (couldn’t find the book listing what breaker is what) and took off a previous flood light and then easily connect the existing hardwires into the 3 easy clip in connections then easily screwed in the whole unit to the existing box. Very easy and straightforward in my opinion. You may pay slightly more upfront (like maybe $300 ) compared to the better known companies that require a monthly subscription but it is well worth it. Another company wanted around $700 for a 36 month subscription, absolutely not!! You do not need a subscription and look how great that video is! As long as you set this up so connections are strong to your internet you should be very happy with it like I am. I believe they do have subscriptions for various things like cloud storage and expert monitoring if you want that. If anything changes with how happy I am with this camera I will update this, but I’m a very happy camper at the moment! Thank you to those who put the time into making this wonderful camera set up!!

Pretty good but could have easily been perfect, without adding cost
**UPDATE** I had a warranty claim pretty quickly. Not sure what happened, but I ended up with 1 dead camera out of 2. To my surprise, they seem to have addressed my major gripes about the S hook and the wire terminals. This looks way better (pic attached)! There is now a nylon loop to hold the camera up while you do the wiring. the wires have reusable Wago-style connectors, which ought work very nicely, especially negating the need for a screwdriver to connect wires now. Very good. ______________________________________________________________________________ Original Review: Cameras work great. Video is excellent, AI tracking is good, automations are good. I love the 3x zoom camera in addition to the wide angle. No need for a cloud subscription is a huge plus, like everyone else is saying. Overall, I'm happy, even though one of 2 has died within 2 weeks of installing it and now I have to figure out what the RMA is like. For the $, I'm glad I got these, because for even more money, 24/7 recording is a must have. I don't think there is anything on the market that has everything this has with none of the downsides until you get to $1000+ cameras. Gripes: No Matter, this is a huge deal, but I'll consider these an interim solution and one day they'll get replaced with Matter-enabled cameras when they come out. No video in Google Home. Only floodlight control. Floodlight color temp is not adjustable. I want warm white light. The color temp isn't too blue, however, so I can live with it. Does not tilt up high enough. My front yard has a very slight uphill grade. These cameras weren't designed with any up tilt. As a result, the 3x camera can't even reach the horizon. Not an issue with the wide camera. This is an an easy oversight and would have been an easy thing to avoid, just design the tilt limit to go above horizontal 10 degrees or so. My biggest issues are with installation... 2 screws that secure the camera to its base, the last thing you do for physical installation, are on the sides. Depending on what you have near the camera, it could be difficult or impossible to get at those screws. In my case it meant an angled screwdriver. It would have just been better if they put the screws in the bottom/front face instead of the sides. The big silly S-hook to hold the camera up while you make the wire connections is dumb. High-end CCTV cameras use a cable lanyard that stays on the camera and tucks away when you button up the camera. This thing has to be kept somewhere handy if you ever need to bring the camera down. The worst thing about install is the wire connector/terminal block... 1. the screws that pinch the wires are WAY TOO SMALL. I don't feel good about how secure the wires are in there with such tiny screws 2. you can't fit a normal philips screwdriver in the plastic wire terminal housing, got to find a micro screwdriver. I think the screws would fit a #1 philips bit, but it's too deep and the plastic around it is too small diameter to fit a #1. Also since they're so small, the good luck not stripping out the philips head on the screw with the undersized screwdriver you have to use. 3. once you have the wires tightened into the terminal block, you're supposed to press it into it's place in the camera base, but it's just a friction fit. You end up fighting it into place, and it pops out of place easily because the copper wires are stiff and trying to pop it out all the time. The whole wire terminal block they used is total garbage and they need to do better. This is the single worst thing about this camera... if they last more than a couple years, that is.

Good camera with great light with some limitations
Bought this and have the 380 eufy hub. Was hoping to use the hub to put it in HomeKit however it doesn’t work. The hub shows up but not the items attached to it that are not HomeKit. The camera works very well, detects motion and is very clear. The 2 lenses do a great job. The light and motion sensor work well however it would be nice to have an added feature to prevent it from coming on if you are home vs away through geofence. Overall a good purchase and easy to setup. No problems after having for one year other than the limitations noted.

I’ve been using the eufy Floodlight Camera E340 for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with the performance. Right out of the box, you can tell it’s well-built. Installation was straightforward (just make sure you have a junction box already wired), and setup through the eufy app was quick and intuitive. The video quality is excellent—especially with the dual-camera system. You get a super clear wide-angle view plus a telephoto lens that zooms in when motion is detected. The auto-tracking is smart and smooth, and I love how it pans to follow people across my driveway or front yard. The floodlights are extremely bright (2,000 lumens), perfect for deterring unwanted activity or just lighting up the yard when I take the trash out. I also like that the motion detection works well—you can set up custom zones, and it mostly avoids false alerts (though I did get a couple from bugs flying too close to the lens). One of the biggest selling points for me was the local storage and no subscription model. I popped in a microSD card and now it records 24/7, no cloud fees or hidden costs. I’m also using it with my HomeBase 3, and it integrates nicely with my other Eufy devices.

This camera performs well as a backyard cam, offering clear and bright visuals even at night. However, the rotation is far from smooth and lacks sensitivity, which is disappointing. Eufy's software is another weak point—it’s consistently slow in delivering motion notifications, which is frustrating. Compared to my inexpensive Wyze camera, the lag is noticeable and disappointing. On the positive side, Eufy’s no-monthly-fee model is a huge plus, and I appreciate the concept. I hope they take customer feedback seriously and work on improving their app and overall user experience.

My previous 2K Floodlight camera pro works fine until it started to go "offline" and I tried everything to bring it back on. Last resort I removed the camera thinking it was dead. Replaced it with E340 floodlight. This camera is great except that when any cars backs onto the driveway or anyone is packing theirgear into his truck - there is no tracking. I even stood underneath the garage camera from left, centre and right of the camera and waved at it, the camera tracked me because I saw the camera moved but it doesn't show on my cell when I reviewed it whilst my 2K camera tracked my every move o matter where I am. I can make do with the old camera by zooming in on the video by using my two fingers to enlarge the picture. - don't need a zoom feature to do that. I like the 2K when viewing live video I can press the 360 degree it will automatically pan around the pre-set positions. Unless the glitch is resolved around the issue of a car backing up to the garage door and tracks it, I have no alternative but to return it

I was eying down these cameras for awhile. These genuinely looked to be a good upgrade over our Wyze V3 Floodlight Cameras which we had in our backyard, porch and driveway. The features and image quality looked to be fantastic over our current Wyze setup with the biggest pro being the fact that you were getting more without the need for a dumb subscription. I saw that there was a bundle with this camera and the Homebase 3 on Eufy's website that was going for sale back in February 2024 and decided that I would purchase this bundle to test out the waters with Eufy. I installed the camera on the porch and it did in fact seem to work as you would expect. The biggest thing was that the picture quality was an enormous step up. There was only one issue up to this point and that was with setting up the flood lights to come on from dusk to dawn and it seemed that this feature would never work correctly at all. The lights would frequently turn off when they were suppose to be on and just not seem to follow what the feature would be intended to do. As a way to get around this, I used the light schedule option which allows the user to pick which time it comes on, and which time it goes off. Besides this, there were no issues, so when I saw that there was a sale for these cameras in the coming months, I purchased two more. Towards the end of March 2024, issues began coming to light which just weren't there when the unit was installed. The camera would pick up activity FAR OUTSIDE of activity zones set. We're talking that it would detect people walking on the street, turn to record them and track them as they walked down the street when the activity zone was set at the porch. Setting the detection range and sensitivity would also do little to nothing to alleviate this issue. It was annoying during the day but even worse when people were walking late at night as it would frequently trip the siren (more on this later on...). Around this time frame as well, false detection began to run rampant. Even if a chipmunk would run across the porch, it would detect it as human. Headlights? HUMAN. Spider with lots of legs which CLEARLY could be seen? HUMAN. Not sure what human has that many legs. Flowers? HUMAN! Grass sticking up through concrete? HUMAN! Poles? HUMAN. At night when this happens it would end up triggering the siren - sometimes MULTIPLE times in one night. At the same time, the camera installed in the backyard was dead quiet. There was an insect which could be made out to look like a blurry human with some imagination and it never detected it as human nor did the camera get triggered by it. In fact, there is a flower pot that sits on the back porch which is the exact same as the ones that are on the front porch and the backyard camera never seems to detect that as human ever but the front one, for some reason does. I installed the final camera camera in the driveway, and it also has similar issues albeit on a far smaller scale. Headlights on wet concrete are somehow...HUMAN! Another issue is that when the neighbors kids come into our driveway, it keeps recording them long after they have left the activity zone. Somehow Eufy didn't think to include any sort of timer or option that lets the user pick how long the camera should keep recording/tracking someone after they leave an activity zone and return back to the default position. This is sure to cause problems in the future. The front porch camera also has similar issues, but with people walking far out onto the street. With the few months of using these cameras, the best way I can describe them is inconsistent. Eufys AI detection is severely flawed and the detection issues is what makes me want to desperately move away from Eufy. With the sporadic nature of how these issues appeared it made me miss the timelines to return the cameras as I thought that they were just one off events, which unfortunately grew overtime. The old Wyze V3 Floodlight cameras which we owned for two years had a grand total of three false alarms due to false detections when all three cameras WERE COMBINED. These Eufy cameras (mainly the porch and driveway camera) in the few months of ownership have easily had over 2 dozen false alarms due to them falsely detecting pretty much everything as human. There have been times where the porch camera and driveway camera both alarmed numerous times throughout the same night due to it falsely detecting a static object as human. It got so bad to the point where now only the light alarm is on since we just can't turn on the siren since the detection is so unreliable. I think there is hardware inconsistency/defects which plays into the issues as well as all three Eufy cameras operate different from one another. The worst part is that tinkering with sensitivities and ranges doesn't seem to help these issues by much at all. I have been in talk with Eufy regarding these issues for the last month or so through email and they have had me trying out different solutions, none of which seem to work and frankly, I think even they don't know whats going on anymore. Buy these cameras (and other Eufy products) only when they're on sale. If you notice strange behavior, return it ASAP and don't stick around. Eufy products also have a universal flaw where if somebody holds down the sync/rest button on a camera, it will wipe ALL footage on the camera and/or homebase where footage is stored. Eufy products in this state should never be purchased at full price.
