GREAT PRIMER
This helps so much! I’ve tried putting my mascara on without it and my lashes dont look the same. I’ve also tried other primers but they don’t work as well as etude. I’ve been using this for at least 2 years now paired with buxom or benefit mascara. It makes my lashes look thicker and longer. I have short, straight asian eye lashes so this product makes a huge difference.

Wow! Impressive mascara primer
I wish I had found this mascara primer years ago. I have always had a problem with my mascara flaking and smudging. I would look like a raccoon in no time. I only wear waterproof mascara but it doesn’t matter. I used this primer and then applied my mascara. IT DIDN’T BUDGE ALL DAY! I’m very impressed. This will be in my makeup bag from now on.

Has a bit of a greyish tint but works well!
I have the most unruly lashes ever. They are thick hairs but sparse plus they curl in whatever direction they feel like! I started to use this on the days when I wanted a more natural look as I have to straighten my lashes (YES STRAIGHTEN!) with a heated lash comb first and then curl. It does a bit of a white/grey cast to them, but my lashes look really nice and not overly done. I find that using a lightweight mascara on top covers the weird cast but it can get clumpy so you need a very light hand. I haven't used this over my other mascaras as I think it would get too thick but if they came out with a clear or tinted black version, it would be PERFECT for everyday use. I really just need hold and not so much volumizing and this is great for that.

buy elsewhere
this isn't going to be about the brand, but Amazon's crappy quality control. I'm a big fan of Etude House and wanted to volumize my eyelashes(I've bought different brands and they helped out), so I got this. not only does the bottle feel empty and hollow--it actually is. I had to squeeze from bottom to top, and only a dime-sized amount is left at the very top. a dime. that is tiny for this kind of bottle. so I'm pretty sure they're recycling their makeup without refilling...which I wouldn't care if they had higher standards. but they don't. if you value quality and decent product, buy this elsewhere. :/ you won't regret it.

Best eyelash primer
I have eyelashes that are more downturned and this product as a primer really helps to set the eyelashes after curling. I can now use any mascara and expect similar results to everyone else and expect what the packaging suggests. Ive repurchased this about 4 times now. I cannot go without it. Theres no fallout with this and i can expect my mascaras to work like a waterproof one would without actually using waterproof.

Dried White
I was expecting this to be a clear mascara fixer, which I could use with or without mascara, but I was misguided. This dries white. I have very thin lashes so the white was very obvious. In addition, when I tried to use mascara over it, as I have thin asian lashes, it looked clumpy (not in a spider lash way, in an accident way). I would say if you have thicker/lashes or you found a mascara that works well for you, it'll be better, but for me, I threw this out because it was ruining my makeup looks. Love Etude as a brand though!

Holy Grail for asian eyelashes
I love clear mascaras since it’s a really easy and natural look for every day wear, but clear mascara always falls flat with my asian eyelashes (even if they’re fairly long). So when I found this, I was ecstatic. I realize it’s a primer, but I love wearing it by itself. I’ve worn it for a while, so here are my opinions.1.) I’ve used this with my Peripera Black Cara Long Lash mascara and it makes my eyelashes looks so long and full. The only down side is that the primer can make the eyelashes look somewhat clumpy, so I would recommend layering the two lightly for a feathery look. A tip is to warm up the mascara with body heat before applying to make things smoother (I shove mine in my bra before I put on makeup haha)2.) In regards to wearing it by itself, it can hold a curl so well and make it look like I’m not wearing mascara. However, it can make almost a flakey look after so long, so if you wear it by itself, be gentle through the day (though, it’s best you do that regardless)3.) I genuinely am in love with this primer so much. I have long, stubbornly straight asian lashes, but light and small bottom lashes. When I apply this to both sets, it makes my shy bottom lashes stand out and compliments my top eyelashes.4.) Like all good asian mascaras, this should be removed with an oil cleanser/balm/micellar water. I HEAVILY discourage attempting to remove the primer/mascara without it. I had a lazy week and left the primer on without washing it off and it lasted on my eyes for 3 days until it was completely gone. Study up on proper makeup removal!5.) I agree with most comments that the tube and mascara wand is a weird application combo, but it’s not a deal breaker. The tip of the wand can get a lot of product on it, so just wipe it off the edge and you’re good to go.I can’t recommend this stuff enough. I thought I was fine with my peripera mascara (which I also love immensely) but this just unlocks a whole new realm of natural makeup. It’s SO worth your money!
