What's not to love about this design
Wow was even better than expected. The rotary handle drive rotated the socket drive in the selected direction when rotated clock wise or anti clock wise. So in English rotating handle in either direction moved the socket in required selected direction.

Bought this in 1/2” for use in oil fields in the Permian. It’s a rough life, but this is the coolest gimmicky tight space ratchet and the mechanism honestly feels like it’ll hold up long term.
