These are good.
These are great. These are the dev kit c V4 versions and, at least for me, have a lot better Wi-Fi reception than the DevKit V1 versions because the antenna is hanging off the end of the board per Expressif Design Guidelines. (The V1 boards have the 4 mounting holes). They don't have the built-in LED but there is a hall effect sensor in there so you can do the HALL example or the Hello World example to test it without having to hook anything to the pins.

Working well
Easy to connect to ESPHome in Home Assistant. Selected the generic esp32 board and it was recognized right away. No issues.

I thought for a while it was broken
It's a pretty cool microcontroller, for a couple of weeks I thought it was broken beacuse the built in led did not blink with the blink sketch. It turns out it does not have one. WiFi works like a charm on both AP and client modes

One shorted, other is fine.
One board shorted right away, gave my pc warnings of drawing too much power. The other seems fine, just had to put into boot mode in order to upload sketches/firmware. 2/5 since only one works.
