Q: Is your 10" Stone Earth Pan also PTFE Free?

The other Ozeri pans claim they are both PFOA and PTFE free, this one does not - so I am assuming it is present in the material. I did a little research into the Greblon coating which is made by Weilburger in Germany. They do make several different coatings that contain PTFE aka Teflon. Only one of their products is PTFE free, a coating called CK2, but we don't know exactly which one is present in this pan.

Q: Is there a difference between this pan and the green 10" Ozeri pan aside from the color?

The non stick coatings are different on the Ozeri GreenEarth/StoneEarth. The main difference is the green one uses a ceramic based coating (similar to green pan et al) this one uses a "Stonehenge" coating. Both coatings are made by Greblon (a German company). Some more minor differences are the shape of the pan, handle style, 2/3 rivets, and the green is advertised as PTFE free but this one doesn't so I don't know.To further confuse things their SteelEarth pans use a third coating.I can't answer which is "better" but this one is quite good.

Q: Why does the description say that batteries are required?

Obviously, if that statement was made in the description, it is most definitely an error. The pan does NOT require batteries. But it is an excellent non-stick pan -- the best I have ever used.

Q: Has anyone had this pan for 2 years or more? Everyone likes their nonstick pans in the beginning then....not.

I used this pan 1 to 3 times a day and was careful. At about 5 years I began to notice light scratches. At about 6 years I began to see a little damage and threw it away. I replaced it with another of these pans because it worked very well. It was still working well when I threw it away. Nothing ever stuck to this pan. Even when it showed damage, in the outline of a about a 3 inch circle in the center of the pan, if I recall correctly, food never stuck and it washed easily.
