perfect and worth it
quiet, efficient, easy to use - warms us up in the morning and is now cooling us off in the heat - we live near the beach and usually have cold mornings and hot afternoons - this is ideal i'm purchasing a second one because it's perfect for my dogs

Save power.
This has been a great little unit. We mostly bought it to balance the temperature in the house. Basically Because of the intake and thermostat placement. The living room seems to take forever to heat or cool. It's helps only slightly for cooking, but it isn't an A/C unit. But the heat works really well. And has saved enough power helping our main unit not having to work so hard. To compensate for its power usage. Our power bills have been a little lower.

Quiet, very effective adjustable heater
I highly recommend this heater. It is a little bit complicated to figure out how to use it, but it is quiet and softly infuse warm air into the room.

HP10 Refurbished iffy
I had a newer gen of the Dyson hot + cool link that I LOVED. Had it for years running constantly. A power surge broke it. I bought a cheaper air purifier but it wasn’t the same. I like something blowing on me while I sleep but I need CLEAN air. A normal fan blowing on me gives me terrible allergies. That’s why I fell in love with the Dyson air purifiers that blow clean air out the front of the machine as powerfully as a fan if needed. I only used the heater function rarely (like the day the furnace went out we were very happy to have the option). It worked very well I just don’t like space heaters on a regular basis. This machine does all the important things for cheaper. It doesn’t connect to the app, the remote is the ONLY way to use it. This was stated in the description and I was ok with it for the price. I paid $345 for a refurbished “very good” condition HP10. The product came looking brand new. However, the remote was missing, making it useless. I tried to contact customer support to try to get help from the seller directly. Customer service experience was terrible. I knew I would have to purchase the remote through Dyson directly but I wanted refunded for the price of the remote. Couldn’t get any help from Amazon or the seller, they just kept offering for me to return the product. I didn’t want to return it, just wanted the remote for free as advertised. The exact remote wasn’t available on Dyson’s website. Dyson made it right though. I called Dyson’s customer service and they sent me a replacement remote for free. Minimal hassle. Overall annoying but worth the price difference (I paid $600 for the new model). It’s pretty quiet. Turned up to 10/10 you can definitely hear the air coming out of it, but I like that. Just enough white noise without being too loud. Turned all the way up it puts out quite a bit of air for the size. I sleep so much better with it. If you leave the display on (I usually keep it on night mode so the screen doesn’t create light and then I turn the fan up a little bit once the screen is off) you can tell it definitely works. If I spray hairspray in another room nearby the air quality percentage drops dramatically but goes back to almost 100% clean air after about 2 minutes

Great Performance, But Pricey
The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool™ Gen1 HP10 is an excellent air purifier and fan combo, but it does come with a premium price tag.Pros:✔️ Effective Air Purification – Helps clear the air of dust, allergens, and pollutants, improving air quality significantly.✔️ Dual Functionality – Works as both a heater and a fan, making it versatile for year-round use.✔️ Smart Features – Automatically adjusts based on air quality and temperature, and the app integration is a nice bonus.✔️ Quiet Operation – Runs relatively quietly, even on higher settings.Cons:➖ Expensive – The price point is high compared to other air purifiers and fans on the market.➖ Size – It can be bulky and take up space, especially in smaller rooms.➖ Airflow Could Be Stronger – The fan function could be more powerful, especially in larger rooms.Overall, if you’re willing to invest in a top-tier air purifier and fan, this Dyson model performs well. It’s effective and sleek but comes with a higher price tag and a few limitations on airflow.

POC (piece of crap)
Zero stars. Negative stars if it were possible. We bought this from Dyson’s Amazon store in January 2025, used maybe three times and it died early March. Sent in for a repair and they could fix it, they sent a “new” machine and that one doesn’t even work, doesn’t even blow any air. Now they ask me to YET AGAIN send it in for repair. Unbelievable. Piece of expensive crap - don’t waste your money.

I love this!
At first I wasn't sure that I could justify the cost to myself but so far I love it. During the heat of the summer I had it on a nightstand and it worked great at helping to keep me cool. I love the fact that it is also filtering the air and it has a display that will let me see if the filter is getting filled up or not. I just had overhead fans installed in the house but this works so well at cooling that I haven't run the fan in my bedroom yet.I might move the dyson out into the garage in the winter- last year it got so cold that I had ice forming on the inside of my garage door- I'm thinking that using the dyson's heater function out there might help me with that problem. I was also thinking that I might build a workbench so it would be great to use it as a little space heater to keep me warm while working. All in all I love its functionality and ease of use. It's very well designed- the controls even have a magnet so it fastens itself to the top of the fan, so you never have to worry about where to put the controls or where you left them.Only thing on my wish list is that it was a bit easier to move around- you're not supposed to pick it up by the oval on top- you're supposed to pick it up by the base (not the filter areas above it) so moving it around the house will be just a bit cumbersome but that is literally my only complaint about it so that is a very minor issue!
