VERY EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET.

These make great onigiri if you take the advice some give to always dip the mold in cold water between pressing onigiri. When wet with cold water, rice slips out really easily, and the whole process is fun. When dry, the rice sticks, and it quickly becomes a nightmarish experience. Dip it in cold water first, and it is fun. Don't dip, and you'll be really frustrated really fast. We just kept a bowl of cold water nearby and just plopped it in for a few seconds between filling it with rice. I do appreciate that it also can be dismantled and put in the dishwasher, but make sure that you keep track of the spring when you remove the presser from the outer shell.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: These are great quality and fun to use with my kids. You'd be surprised what else you can make with these fun little presses

Gets the job done - I find some of the cheaper silicone/plastic molds a little more convenient, but the stainless steel makes it easy to clean despite not being able to really clean between the top of the mold and the press the way it's designed, but I haven't looked into whether or not they come apart. Obvious durability, not worried about it breaking since it's steel, but I worry about the longevity of the springs compared to the cheaper molds.

It is easy and fun to use. Teaching my grandkids to do musubi for their snacks. 5-9 years old did well. Good buy.
