These are properly RATED shackles intended for professional use in vehicle recovery situations. This is the sort of thing that travellers use in the Australian Outback. The only thing that is important to remember is that they should not be tightened up solidly when in use; put the bar into the shackle and turn it until the bar is fully home, then back it out half a turn to avoid it seizing up. Very good piece of equipment. Check YouTube for how they are best used.

Colour is spot on for what I wanted...exactly like the pictures. Sadly amazon "lost" one of them repackage and sent one with no apology..but got in contact with the supplier and they sorted it out with a replacement in the post from America!
