HEARTLESS: 2 (Chestnut Springs) : Silver, Elsie: desertcart.in: Books Review: âSheâs a spark in the dark. Dancing flames against a midnight sky." - As someone who has loved Elsie Silverâs stories since the beginning, itâs absolutely no surprise that this book made me feel all the things. One of the things that Elsie does really well is creating characters that you want to be friends with and characters you want to get tangled up in the sheets with all at the same time. She writes some of the best grumps and her steamy scenes are off the charts! At this point, everyone knows that this desertcart Bestselling author writes the kinds of books that once you start reading, you canât stop. After all of the rave reviews, I was so afraid to read my ARC because what if it was overhyped? Let me tell you right nowâŠworth it. I should also say that while Cade Eaton is one hell of a grump, nobody can ever take the place of Cole Harding (from A Photo Finish ). In Heartless, youâll see: âš age gap âš grumpy x sunshine âš single dad cowboy âš sassy feisty nanny âš the cutest kid ever âš the amazing eaton family âš the kind of steam that will make you blush âš dirty talking characters âš laughs, feels and tears When Cadeâs search for the right nanny to help out with his five year old son, Luke, turns into him being frustrated with every woman who comes his way, he caves and lets Summer (from Flawless ) bring someone in that would be the perfect fit. For Willa, being a nanny is not something she ever thought sheâd do, but the minute she meets Luke Eaton and Cade, suddenly her plans for the summer include driving the sexy older cowboy wild while falling in love with his son. Because itâs Elsie, you know youâre getting a bunch of things right off the batâwicked banter, hilarious texts and sexual tension that will set your kindle/paperback on fire. Willa is such an incredible character. But thatâs no surprise to me either, because Elsieâs heroines are always so complex and so interesting. Do I wish we saw Cade interacting with her awesome parents? Absolutely. Because I can only imagine what that might have been like. But I loved how Willa didnât talk to Luke like he was a child and treated him like he was responsible for his own actions. I admired how hard she worked to give Luke the kind of love that heâs never had from a mother figure. Willa, much like the heroines who have come before her, was beautiful, wild, free and genuine. She felt real and like someone Iâd want to kick back and drink with. Hell, Iâd brunch with her and Summer in a heartbeat. Cade and Willaâs relationship is sort of forbidden (only in the traditional sense of him being her boss, not because anyone laid down the law as such), but itâs so fun. She enjoys riling him up and he growls and grunts in response. Given their first meeting involved her panties, you can imagine how many times they talk about her underwear through the course of this book. And as you can imagine, Cadeâs dirty mouth is a special one, but Willa can keep up and match him at every step. Their emotional, physical and sexual bond is truly something special. If I was either of them, I probably would have thrown in the towel a lot sooner. But, it was worth it. Right from the first time Willaâs on her knees to the time when sheâs got her panties in her mouth, Cade and Willaâs sexual relationship is explosive in so many brilliant ways. I love the Eatons and I loved seeing Violet again, because sheâs one of my favourite of Elsieâs characters. Iâm also SUPER curious about Beau, because weâve barely gotten to see him over the course of these two books. But I know his story is coming and I feel like I have an idea of where itâs going. But that little sneak peak at the end for Jasperâs book?! I wonât spoil it and tell you anything else, just know that Iâm excited because a sexy, silent, broody hockey player falling in love with a certain person we meet in this book just made my heart flutter so joyfully. Beautiful, romantic, and unputdownable read. Loved it!
Wow! I've read so many good things about this series that I couldn't resist picking it up. My only regret is that I didn't start sooner! Cade, a ranch owner and a father to a 5-year-old son finds himself lacking the necessary time to spend with his son during the summer and so he decides to hire a nanny for a two-month period. Enter Willa, a vibrant, lively, and uproarious redhead. With a heart as wild as a butterfly, Willa has never been one to settle down, always seeking new thrills and adventures. However, upon meeting Cade and his son Luke, she experiences a sense of belonging she's never felt before, as if she's finally found a place to settle down. Cade embodies the epitome of grumpiness, with his moody, cranky exterior. Yet beneath that tough facade beats a gentle and kind heart. Scarred by a past experience, he shields himself with skepticism. However, when Willa enters his life, his fortified walls slowly crumble, and I enjoyed every minute of it! Willa, on the other hand, is an absolute marvel. She exudes intelligence, sass, cheerfulness, and a kind-hearted nature that captured my heart â„ïž. Her adeptness in handling Cade's grumpiness with perfectly timed comebacks and witty retorts filled me with glee đ. Cade, in contrast, saw beyond Willa's outward vivacity. He saw the vulnerability and self-doubt she concealed, and I loved the way he dispelled her doubts and made her realize how amazing she really was. Phew! I can really go on and on about this book! Not only do I adore Cade, Willa, and the charming Luke, but Cade's family stole my heart. The depth of their bond and the warmth of their connection were endearing. This book ticks off all the boxes on my romance checklist - steamy chemistry, delightful banter, a loving and supportive family, the cozy ambiance of a small town, and the sheer cuteness of an adorable child. It's a perfect blend that left me swooning and craving for more!đ« đBeautiful, romantic, and unputdownable read. Loved it!

LOVED IT
I don't know what it is about books with single dads living in the countryside. I'll eat up those stories every single time! This one hits the spot so well that I was actually disappointed when the book ended. 400 pages is just not enough. I needed more from this grumpy-sunshine combo!!

âI know in my bones that I wonât want to let you go at the end of the summer, but Iâll take what I can get. Because youâre too ___ special to pass up.â Whew! Elsie Silver can write a book with all the things! This single dad/nanny, grumpy x sunshine story was PERFECTION! It was HOT, steamy, humorous, and heart-felt! It was a small town romance & then some! Itâs worth a million âïžs! Cade Eaton is a grumpy, over-protective dad looking for someone to care for his son, Luke, over the summer so he can care for his family ranch. He is picky and needs a nanny that will focus on Luke and isnât trying to apply for the job of his wife. Enter Willa. The much younger Willa was personally vetted by Summer, Cadeâs soon to be sister-in-law. She is certain Willa and Cade will hate each other enough to avoid complications. Willa is a fiery, ball-busting, mouthy red head and Cade has quite the mouth himself đ„”đ⊠which is how these two eventually combust into a spicy, romantic mess of feelings and more! I loved everything about Cade and Willaâs relationship! Their banter was second to none with Willa goading Cade is so many ways! Watching the âalways in controlâ cowboy lose it had me laughing and smiling from start to finish! Her ability to bring out the fun and fire in him was heartwarming & the way he cared for her had me melting all over the page! But, my favorite thing about Elsieâs books is the way she makes it a robust, well rounded love story! Willaâs care and love for Luke grows exponentially and their relationship is so very special. Her ferocity to protect him and show him he can depend on her becomes unbreakable, making Cade fall more deeply in loveâŠrealizing he may not be heartless after all. Heartless is a HOT, heart-felt, small-town, grumpy x sunshine, nanny/single dad, age gap romance and SO MUCH MORE! The Eaton boys are absolutely some of my favorites to watch fall in love and Elsie writes their women with such perfection! The family dynamic of the Eaton boys (and Jasper) is something I look forward to reading with much anticipation! Canât wait to see how the next story plays out!

Cade really broke my heart with his insecurities I kept telling him through the book you did good you deserve better đ„č till the ends he still doubting if he deserve to be happy ; I wanted to hug him so bad. His dirty talk wasn't expected to be honest đ€Ł he's hot and irresistible, every time he says "woman" it does something weird to međ€°. Willa was relatable af with her insecurities and unplanned future, she's funny and steaming hot. Every time Cade push her away I felt heartache for her. Rhett was fun I might read his book but I don't think I enjoyed the other characters peeking that much like how much they talk about Jasper every time he's around. Luke is so adorable I loved him too he broke my heart when he asked about what his baby sister will call Willa ! đ

The best characters, the best chemistry, the best banter, the best setting. Literally the best romance book ever. I cannot get enough of this book.

Cade and Willaâs story is so heartwarming. There is a long and steady build up to their sexual relationship, even though they are physically attracted to each other from their first meeting and there is steamy tension between them from the beginning. The delay in gratifying their attraction allows time for them to get to know and appreciate the positives about each other and allows the heat to build. Willa is an intelligent, confident, caring, free-spirit, and so funny - I would love her as a friend. There are so many adjectives in the book describing Cade. Although he is surly and grim faced he is very appealing - most of the unattached female residents in Chestnut Springs are attracted to him because he is also capable, selfless, strong, stoic, honest and hardworking. Luke is absolutely adorable, he is full of fun and such a lovable and loving little guy. The book is very well written and all the characters are well rounded. Each member of Cadeâs family has their own distinct personality - all different but with an endearing and enduring love for each other. The two Elsie Silver books Iâve read have been extremely enjoyable, I like the sensuality and the passion but Iâm not too keen on the sex talk and steamy descriptions so I fast track through those sections and concentrate more on the story, the humour and the characters. I now look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I absolutely loved this book! Willa and Cadeâs story was beautiful, and Luke was just the sweetest! The relationships in this bookâSummer & Willa, Luke & Willa, Cade & Lukeâwere all so heartwarming and made me feel so much while reading. I first fell in love with Willa after reading Flawless. She wasnât in the book much, but her sharp comebacks and witty remarks had me hooked, and I knew I had to see more of her. I didnât realize her story would come next, so when I started this book, I wasnât at all surprised to be giving it 5 stars. Willaâs character was so easy to loveâher wit, confidence, and personality just leapt off the page. And then, getting to know Cadeâs characterâhis grumpy exterior, his soft spots, and the emotional baggage he carriesâwas such a rewarding experience. 5 year old Luke was absolutely adorable! Iâve never read a book about a single parent before, so this was a first for me, and I can honestly say I enjoyed every moment of it đ„čđ©”
