Q: If Amazon doesn't ship it with a cold pac maybe they will not be as effective?

I work in a health food store…it comes to us in box, no ice pack, just like it would come to a residential delivery. We put it in the fridge when we stock it. It is freeze dried to survive the shipping process. Refrigerate ASAP

Q: This product needs to be refrigerated. Mine ordered was deleivered without any cooling device. This will make the product less effective, right?

Hi Jessica! I reached out to the manufacturer and here is their reply: We’ve tested them shipping ground to FL in the middle of summer and after 6 days of hot truck transit we’ve observed about a 40% loss. We overformulate by 40-50% to account for this. Winter months it’s not much of an issue. It’s the hot summers. So in the winter I would say no need for cold packs and even a week is fine. Summer time they should not be in transit for more than 5 days. So still effective and planned for. Hope this helps and thanks for choosing Solaray!
