Q: Is volume adjustable?

There are 3 settings for volume. The lowest is more of a loud hum or buzz sound.. I keep mine on medium.

Q: What is the distance range on the pager? Can I go next door with it? For a walk in the neighborhood?

They advertised the range to be 300 feet, however, I have found that the range is much more like 50-100 feet at best. You definitely can't go for a walk in the neighborhood. Probably can't even leave the inside of your home and or in my case can't go across the house.

Q: If the person sits back down on the pressure pad will the alarm turn off automatically?

No. You will need to turn it off on the monitor or monitors if you using more than one.
