functional
I love the way these form into a small roll that I can just clip on my harness.

Very basic rope protector
I would trust my life with this! I used to use the ones made with firefighters reinforced hose that can withstand anything. This one is thin and feels cheap.

Offers abrasion resistance, may not be good for sharp edges
This product is a sleeve that surrounds the rope and closes with velcro. It offers the advantage of covering your rope when it lays across dirty or rough surfaces - the kind of surfaces that degrade a climbing rope from the outside or when dirt works its way into the fibers. The velcro runs the entire length of the sleeve and performs well. I doubt it would work itself loose. I would us this sleeve over dirty, sandy, or rough surfaces. I would hesitate to use it over a sharp edge. I was able to score my sleeve with light force of my pocket knife. The sleeve, while abrasion resistant, is thin and does not offer much padding for a rope going over a sharp stone edge. If that is your climbing environment you may want to consider another or an additional way of protecting your rope. But for the common situation where you want to keep dirt and moisture off your expensive rope this is a good accessory.

Doesn’t stay in place.
This product attaches in 2 ways. A small loop to clip a carabiner to and a Velcro strap to wrap around the rope. The loop is probably fine but would require you to run a special line and take time to get it in exactly the correct spot/distance. So that’s just not worth it from an efficiency/time perspective. The VELCRO sucks. I’ve used it for ~15 climbs and it’s already losing its stickiness. However, even on my first few climbs it would come undone. And I used multiple wrapping techniques such as simple spirals, an overlapping lattice, figure-eighting around both rope strands separately, and even straight up tying it like a rope. Each method had about ~50% change of failure and it would slide down. The only reason I give 2* rather than one is because the wrap itself is indeed protective. IF you plan to use the loop to attach, then I’d give 4 stars. It’s pretty good.

Nice light/compact rope protection
This is a very simple and fairly compact sleeve you can place around your rope to protect it from abrasion. You would use this primarily with a fixed rope, such as you might use for extending an anchor over an edge for a top-rope, rappelling over an edge, caving, or protecting an edge the rope rubs on when top-rope soloing. It probably wouldn't have a lot of use scenarios in standard sport climbing. The material is similar to a PVC raft, so it should be plenty durable. It is fairly small, so you would only use this on a single rope or a couple ropes that are running parallel. There is a velcro strip on one end you can use to tie it off to a stationary rope, and also a small loop you can tie a piece of cord onto to secure it, or use that as a carabiner loop to carry it.

Velcro attachment is weak, tube diameter way too big
I am a rock climber and frequently set up top rope solos where I want to pad my ropes as they rub over the cliff edge, so I was hopeful this would work for that. I already have the Petzl version of this which is MUCH more expensive but also longer, closer diameter fit on the rope and has a better attachment method (a steel spring clamp). This sheath when rolled and closed is way too big for use on 2 strands of 10mm rope, like I can fit two of my fingers in there along with the ropes. I have no idea why it's that big, but even with 12mm or larger industrial ropes there would still be a ton of space inside. This means that the sheath has very little friction on the ropes so the attachment has to do all the work, and on this sheath it's just a cheap velcro strap which really is insufficient. Even trying to weave the strap between the ropes in a figure-8 motion to add more friction wasn't enough, and a gentle pull on the sheath with my hand makes it come loose and slide down the ropes. I'm hopeful I'll be able to find a use for these, but so far the use case as intended out of the box these are pretty mediocre and I won't be using them in favor of my Petzl versions.
