The 1st Hour: Initial Impressions
The Nintendo Switch's Joy-Cons have their share of problems, despite being an innovative and intuitive controller. The Sliq Play N Charge grip kit alleviates some of them. Read the bottom line for my answer.Installation:Opening the package and fitting the controllers was a breeze. Keep in mind that the controllers are built specifically for 1 Left Joy-Con and 1 Right Joy-Con. Make sure you're fitting the right one in (look at the Sync buttons). You should have no difficulty afterwards. The kit comes with a manual and one charging wire that is a generic, sturdy micro-usb cord. You can use a regular Android phone charger to charge both at the same time. The good:The grip kit so far has proved to be a pleasant experience. I have tried it with Blaster Master Zero, Ikaruga, Puyo-Puyo Tetris, and Super Smash Bros. The rounded plastic makes the sensation of holding a Joy-Con feel natural - you feel like you're actually holding a regular controller. The asymmetrical design of a singular Joy-Con makes for a flawed experience. The Right Joy-Con in particular: having a control stick centered in the middle of your controller just sucks, man. With the grip, my hands don't feel cramped. It's very ergonomic. I can hold the controller with a relaxed grip. The grip also has plastic tabs at the top for the SR and SL buttons. These are extremely pleasant to use. They are sensitive enough, but not too sensitive. The bad:Unfortunately, the design of the Joy-Con limits the use of a traditional controller grip. You are not able to utilize the the L and R buttons - those would be the smaller shoulder buttons that are at the top. The ZR and ZL buttons are accommodated for, but they are in awkward positions and it is difficult at best to use them. This isn't much of a problem. Most games that only require one Joy-Con per individual tend to have simple controls. When I was playing Super Smash Bros., one of the more demanding games in terms of control, not using the L and ZL / R and ZR buttons didn't phase me at all. Using one Joy-Con controller for Smash is a terrible, awful experience and you should avoid it like the plague. However, I can see myself using one with a Sliq grip, as long as I'm not taking the game too seriously.I wish that the controller grip's handles for the right Joy-Con were also asymmetrical - that it had a grip skewed slightly towards the middle. Then, I wouldn't have to reach my thumb so far over. The grip makes it a lot better, but I just wish that the creators had done something about it."Should I Buy It?":All-in-all, the Sliq grip vastly increases the enjoyment of using a singular Joy-Con. It's easy to open the package. It's easy to install the grip. I haven't yet appreciated its built-in battery feature (I haven't had it long enough to do so). If I begin to have problems with this accessory, I will edit this review to include them.If you're thinking about purchasing this, I'd say go for it!

Best joycon grip for Switch
+Paddle triggers; the response and feel of the triggers is absolutely incredible, perfect for Mario Kart.+Small yet gripable; makes the one joycon play style more accessible to those with larger hands. The small form factor also makes them easy to pack up and take with your switch.+Charge and play; while the 500 mAh battery isn't a crazy amount of extra battery, an extra 4-5 hours of game play is always nice. Plus, you can play and charge using the USB Micro-B port on the bottom. They may seem a little pricey at almost twice the cost of basic joycon grips but you're definitely getting your money's worth in terms of quality, comfort, and features. Will buy again.

Nice grips
I love that it’s recharagble and it gives me longer play time. I believe it can be more durable as it still feels a little too flimsy. That is probably why I the comfort is a 4. I found that it’s not the best when it comes to playing certain games that involves a high amount of clicks. My hands get cramps all the time since it is so sleek and a little slippery.Overall, I would still suggest this to anybody.

Nice match with KontrolFreeks
I’d like to give them a 5 star but for me to do that They would have to add an on/off button for the battery and make them asymmetrical.Anyway the battery to me is simply unnecessary and I plan on letting them die and then stay dead so I won’t have even more devices to keep charged, the joycons never die on me for the simple fact that I dock them with my Switch every night. That’s a personal preference though. The asymmetrical thing I’m talking about is a problem with joycons themselves that I feel a perfect grip attatchment could help remedy. These sliq grips aren’t universal, there’s a right and a left. With that being the case it’d be nice if they could make them both off center to help offset the hand grip so that they’d be closer to the buttons or thumbstick. What I mean is making the right side closer to the center on the left joycon so that your right hand could reach the buttons easier and reversed for the right joycon so that the left hand could reach the thumbstick easier. That might be nitpicking but it’s something that I think would make these perfect along with a button to turn off the battery.Overall I’m digging these though. I haven’t cared to use my joycons in split mode since getting my Switch almost 2 years ago but Smash Bro’s changed everything. A few friends at work have been bringing their Switches into the break room and we’ve been playing tabletop with friends that don’t have one. The sliq’s work great for that since the shoulder buttons are large and easy to hit and if you snag a pair of KontrolFreeks to help the dinky thumbsticks then you’ve got a fairly competent controller. I won’t pretend it’s as good as using a pro controller of course but it’s worlds better than the slider option that comes out the box.

Feels good, but be careful when applying.
I think it works well enough, but there is a difficulty I had with the left joy-con grip. Can be easily broken if you experience said difficulty applying controller.

Great joycon grips!
Freaking awesome grips! The fit perfect in your hand. The top triggers are extremely easy to use. The buolt in battery is kinda redundant considering ive never had a joy con die on me even after hours and hours of gaming hut the idea of being able to play hours and hours of mario kart with the boys without even having to consider worrying about my joy cons dying is a nice feeling. Extremely great deal.
