I’ve been using this on and off for a year. My hair has not been damaged, and it’s often softer after using this than before. It doesn’t smell bad to me, but it’s a powerful color depositing conditioner, so be prepared for that. I’ll stain my shower orange if I don’t immediately rinse any stray spots, even when the errant conditioner is nothing more than colored water.I appreciate that whenever I use this, I get compliments on my hair. People think that I just had my hair dyed to ginger again. It does work better on pre-dyed hair than on my virgin roots, but still deposits enough color at the top that it’ll blend with the more saturated shafts and ends. I used to use a different red conditioner, but it was more red than ginger which was not my preference.My normal routine is to use this 2x between hair coloring sessions as part of an everything shower. (So maybe once every month and a half since I don’t go to the salon very often. You could probably use it more without any adverse effects). I’ll put it into my hair after shampooing, from root to ends, and make sure every strand is covered so there are no patches. I’ll clip my hair up with a claw clip, slightly scrub at any stray color on the tub or walls, make sure my neck and face are clear of any color so I don’t dye the skin, and then leave it in for 20 minutes. I think it recommends less time than that but the longer the better imo. I always rinse it out super well with cool water. I don’t wear white the next day just in case because I’m paranoid about potentially wrecking a shirt.Using it like this, I’m still on the same bottle that I first bought over half a year ago. I’ll buy it again when it runs out :) it’s a fantastic value for the price. If you have super thick and long hair, you’ll go through it faster. Mine is relatively thin and fine but is long.Enjoy your refreshed hair for cheap!

Absolutely works!I was so hesitant to buy for my son who bleached his entire head of hair. His hair was yellowish and the toner wasn't working so I decided to use this & we for the gray ashe & worked! It left it soft and manageable

I hardly ever find hair products I’m impressed with, but WOW! I lightened my hair from dark brown to lighter brown/dark blond and it came out copper colored. I used the platinum blond color and started second guessing whether it would work or not. It took away all the orange tones and made my hair ashy, just like I wanted it to. I left it on longer than instructed… about 30 minutes. I will definitely purchase this again.

I am a natural copper red head but since I have gained some white hairs I have had to color it. I was hoping this would be a good alternative in between going to the salon to save a few dollars. It def works but if you have lighter hair it ends up looking a bit pinkish and even after trying to comb it through and make sure it was distributed evenly, it does not seem to cover all of the hair evenly. It does not cover white hair well either so if you are hoping it will cover roots, it does not do a good job for that. The cost is not expensive so that is a plus. I pay quite a bit for coloring at the salon.As far as it dying you skin or nails.. umm it is hair dye what did you think it would do. Wash your hands quickly after if you are in the shower or use gloves like the salons use.

I have pre-dyed hair. I needed a quick refresher for a wedding coming up and it did just the trick! Note it does not pick up on my natural roots only my pre-dyed sections. This is from 2 washes. Obviously it had better coverage on the highlights, hope this helps! I posted a before and after.

This stuff, the pearl beige toner-is evil.It ruined my awesome healthy hair.My stylist was SO MAD at me when I went to her to trim the dead ends this product caused.I POURED over the reviews for so many products before I settled on this horrible stuff. I don't know what kind of resilient hair everyone else has, but my super healthy, smooth hair was so hurt by this. I don't have thick hair strands, but it isn't baby fine, either. I can't believe what happened after one use of maybe 4 mins of application to just my roots.I have an amazing plasma hairdryer that dries my hair super fast with zero damage. Once I dried my hair after using this, I swear the ends were angry. All I could think of was now my hair has those little snakes like on Mike Wazowski's girlfriend Celia's hair in Monsters Inc.Other people could see it. (The damage, not the snakes. That would just be ridiculous)I've had to purchase OTHER products to fix the damage this did to my hair. The whole reason I bought it was to extend color between salon trips and save a little money. I've been using a bonding product as well as a very nourishing leave in. Two weeks later, it doesn't quite feel like straw anymore.I wouldn't reccomend this product to anyone that I like. It may not destroy your hair by why on earth take the dumb chance I did. It set my hair back about 8 months of progress of beautiful shine, texture, length and bounce.Stuff is bad juju.

I don’t usually write review but I’ll say I’ve used this for enough time. I had blonde hair in the past so I used the Pearl Blonde one. I’ll 100% recommend that one. It will help you hair keep a beautiful color and it will leave it soft. I loved it. Now I decided to go natural so I took me time to achieve the brown color I have now, I bought this again in the chocolate tone this time, tried for the first time and it was not what I expected, it stained my hands and stained my hair leaving an ugly orange residue that now I have to remove somehow. I’ll recommend the others but no the Chocolate tone one.
