Amazing product, quick delivery, came in perfect condition and it works as intended. There was no instructions as to obtaining the software, though all you have to do is visit the site and it can be downloaded for free.

This is worth every penny. It's amazing when you see everything you get for $77. So far I've only used it for Flash and EPROMs in DIP packages but it works great and is just as fast as much more expensive programmers.

Works great. Installed the latest software and downloaded the IC support list and manual: T48/T56/TL866II Plus Programmer Application Software V13.04 (choose web_Overseas if you’re in the U.S.). T48 Plus IC Supported List (a TXT file). Universal Manual (English) (PDF). I burned an E/PROM for my old Yamaha DX7IID synthesizer with its available last firmware upgrade. I read the original E/PROM and verified checksum and saved the file. I then burned the new firmware image on a new STMicroelectronics M27C512‑12F1 EPROM using AM27C512 @DIP28 software selection. All worked well. XGECU Is great company!

As some have said the software installation is not obvious but search for “6xgecu pro t48 software download” and you’ll find it. There are multiple download sites. I chose “overseas server”. The download site page is full of distractions, be sure to click the correct button. There was a 17 minute youtube video that resulted from my search and it’s worth watching before downloading although it’s not in english. At least you’ll see how to download and use the software. Pretty intuitive interface. I was able to read, erase, and program EEPROMS very quickly. As long as you know your IC is on the supported list this is well worth the money.

So far this tool has been decent. Downloading the software can be a little tricky but not too difficult. It does has some adjustability for the write speed, but I would like to see more options below the 512 for automotive use as I cannot always seem to get this to write the program (hit or miss with automotive applications, but I'm still learning how to use it). I would also like to see a feature, if at all possible, to automatically be able to detect what type of IC you're trying to read/write as well as maybe a way to select the voltage you need or want to work with. The quality of the materials seems to be good. Was fairly easy to use, but if you've never worked with equipment like this, definitely do your research on how to properly use it and what it can be used for. I would recommend it over some other options and would buy it again.

Exelente productito por su precio, pude reparar algunas laptops gracias a Dios... Para gama alta de Dell no lo recomiendo, es decir para motherboards que doble chip bios como la Latitude 5531 no sirve, deja en equipo casi muerto. pero para equipos sencillos o laptop normales; recomendado 100%

I chose this one because it also tests logic chips! The software (download it) has a huge library but if your chip isn’t there you can build a test procedure (like pins 1 and 2 high so pin 3 should output low) and save it with its name.
