Best one I've owned!
Beat humidifier I've purchased! I have an indoor plant room with over 100 tropical plants (lots of rare anthurium). The humidity needs to be above 70% at all times. This humidifier is the first I've had (gone through 15 in the last 7 years) that has no problems. It holds a lot of water, has great setting options, is easy to move around, light but durable, easy to clean, and produces consistently! Is better than the very expensive industrial ones I've had previously. It covers a large room with ease. Very pleased!!

Very Good Product at a Fair Price
Why would I give this product 5 stars? Because it is a very good product and a good value for the money.1. I have been using a similar water capacity sized dehumidifier in my living room area. My old unit uses a paper type media where air is blown through to add moisture to the air. The filter elements require replacement from time to time and usually cost about $26.00, just for the filter media. Not to mention taking the old media out of the holder, disposing of a drippy wet mess in the trash, inserting the new filter into the bracket holder, inserting this into the water tank, then I have the chore of trying to get the rod holding the water sensor float aligned so the top goes back on the unit. You can avoid all the mess, expense, and frustration of the filter media systems by using the misting technology, which does not require any media/filters.2. The unit using the misting method does not have a big blower to force air over/through a filter. The misting unit is whisper quiet and does not disturb your TV viewing or sleeping. Very quiet.3. Stylish, the unit looks better than the filter units and perhaps hakes a bit less floor space as the design is higher and not squatted to the floor. It puts the misted air up where you need it.4. The big blower filter units usually have a two-speed blower and a sensor to turn it off when the water gets low. The misting unit has a hydrometer sensor to detect the moisture level and can automatically adjust to the desired amount. The water pump is designed to hang down into the water tank eliminating the need for any guide rods and special switched to align when changing filters. I’ll say again, the misting system has no filters to replace.5. It is easy to refill with water from the top, and it is high enough that you don’t have to stoop over with a heavy water container to refill. It also seems the unit is better at humidifying the air than the blower unit as you can see it happening. The most important reason is that my wife likes it.

good, can be better designed
Pros:Humidifier works as expected. OK control panel. Did not try the remote. If it lasts, it will be a good investment since i produces a good amount of vapor and minimizes refills.Minuses (not really Cons): (how to make it a better product)- the handles are too small to easily carry the tank when it is full with water. Please redesign them and make them deeper/larger.- the center of gravity is too high when the tank is more than half full. We inadvertently pushed it twice and it fell with all water splashing around. Please redesign the base and find a way to lower the center of gravity. Workaround: I put a 10lbs weight at the bottom, make it much better, 20lbs will probably make it impossible to fall.- when removing the top when the water tank is empty, the remaining water in the pipe/pump falls and splashes everywhere if you are not taking precautions. Also the 3 top parts should be lockable to avoid taking them apart each time you need to fill the tank.Had good experience with pre-sale customer support.

Does the job
We are in the piedmont area of the Carolina's and it doesn't get too cold here. But when it gets below 30 deg F out then the air is dry even though we heat with gas. Our home is about 2000 sq/ft. We only needed to get the RH between 30-40 at 70 inside. I started using it around January 7 or so. So the house was already dried out with 15 and under RH. So when we first started using it it took about 4 days for the RH to increase as the materials (walls, floors, ceiling furniture all wood etc...) inside were pretty dry. We went though a tank of water a day. I once let it run out when it was windy and 12 deg out and the humidity plummeted inside to almost nothing. I refilled it and it didn't take long to start coming up again. After that it had no problem keeping the RH above 30. So if you do this, wait for a few days for it to come to the level you desire. This worked great for us. If you have a home above 2000 sq/ft you'll need more than one unless you are just borderline in need. vis. 3000 sq/ft and no lower than 25 RH. I like this unit with it's remote and many modes.

Best humidifier I've ever owned.
I've been using for more than a month now and it works great. I'm using it in a 1100 sq. ft. double-wide mobile home, and it has so far kept the entire house comfortable close to the Indiana State line in Southern central Michigan. We've had a mild winter so far with temperatures not much below freezing to low 40's. I keep the humidifier set to 50 or 55% on a really cold day. My humidity gauges in the house usually range from 38 to 44%. I wouldn't want to go higher. I keep the speed on 2 out of 4. It puts out a lot and I don't want too much moisture. I recently bought a shower water filter and decided to try using that filtered water for the humidifier instead of reverse osmosis from the store at 50 cents per gallon. I haven't even had to clean the humidifier in all this time. Others have warned not to overfill, or it will leak out the overflow holes. That should not be a problem. I haven't overfilled it. I fill pails with my filtered shower water and just pour it in, being careful not to go too high. It's very easy to use. I'm delighted!
