Easey to replace and a heck of a lot cheaper than a new valve
A replacement like for like valve would have cost me £104. This motor cost me £8 and so it was a no brainer. I didn't realise until recently that the valve motors are fairly universal. For me this was a 10 min job. Fortunately the wiring was on a connector block, so I didn't even have to power down. Simply squash open the old crimp, pop in the new motor wires and re-crimp (new crimps provided). There is no polarity to worry about. The only extra work I had to do was widen the cog hole on the metal plate that my motor sat on. Popped the motor back in and hot water was up and running again. I have replaced many valves over the years, but this was the first time I replaced just the motor - it really is a piece of cake. To fit it.... Power down as the valve is live. It isn't necessary to remove the housing, but it may ease replacement. Removal is either spring clips (can be very tight) or screws to a back plate. There are probably a few screws holding the motor in place and one of these may be earthed (remember to replace this). The motor may sit on a separate metal plate and this may need to be transferreed across depending on how the srew holes fall (make a note of which way around this is). The wire crimps can be squashed open to save you having to strip the existing wires. Push in a new motor wire and a valve wire into a crimp, give it a twist and then crimp with a crimping tool. Pliers will work, but they don't really crush the crimp as well and could lead to a loose connection. Repeat with the other motor wire. Put motor back into the housing. and secure with the existing screws making sure earth is made (if connected by the screws). When assembled make sure the manual lever bar can move back and forth. You should hear the motor turning and it should slowly move back into position when released. Putting the motor back in can be a little fiddly as the cog needs to catch on the toothed bar. levering it slightly using the manual lever bar may help. Be sure that the manual lever bar doesn't pop out of position.

Not identical to the Honeywell product
This said it was compatible with the Honeywell product but it is not identical. The pinion that needs to engage with the valve is slightly larger so it does not fit the hole as well (as others have said). Some fiddling around has got it to fit though. Also the motor seems to have more resistance than the previous one, and when first installed it did not move enough to switch on the micro-switch. It is now working but I am not convinced. The product has a Tower label on it so it is a rebadged version and is probably available cheaper elsewhere - but I would not buy another Tower product.

Great replacement for powerhead motor
Bought this to replace the motor in my motorised valve as my old one had failed. It is so much cheaper than buying a new powerhead and it fixed my problem at a fraction of the cost. It is also easy to wire up using the crimps provided.

Excellent replacement for Honeywell valve motor.
Simple replacement for a Honeywell 2 port system. Mad to push the motor through the base plate as the motor gear was slightly bigger than the original (not worn) but it’s been perfect. Fitted with a pair of pliers to crimp the included connectors.

Works a treat
Would have been better with moulded connectors already on but understand why not as each switch may have different males on. Had to increase hole on the switch to enable it to fit but other than that works a treat. Cheaper than replacing full Drayton unit
