Q: Are these appropriate for children also (say, 6 yrs old)?

I don't know. But I would not let my 6 year old view an eclipse. These do not strap on your head. They seem to be made of cardboard. So a child could easily take them off and throw them.

Q: can you wear them with glasses

They will fit over glasses, but the arms are not real long, so u might have to tape the product arms to the arms on your glasses.

Q: Are these part of the Amazon recall?

I received an email from Amazon telling me not to use them. They refunded me. I just chatted with Amazon, hoping they had been approved. As of Saturday, Aug 19th, 7pm, this was what they said: "Unfortunately, we still have not received the proper verification to confirm these glasses are safe."Me: "So, even though the brand is listed as one of the safe brands, and the glasses have the proper ISO requirements printed on them, you're saying they may still be knock-offs, or somehow not the real thing?"Alicia: "Correct, we have pulled all of the listings for this product. Without the verification from the sellers to confirm they are safe we cannot sell or recommend that anyone use them."
