Pure Encapsulations UltraZin zinc contains elemental zinc derived from earthen ore. UltraZin Zinc uses a technology that creates a phospholipid bilayer around the mineral that is similar to a liposome. The zinc ion becomes the new “form” of the mineral—as would be the case with a chelated mineral such as zinc glycinate, it gets bound to an amino acid in the case of a chelate. Here it becomes like zinc “bound” by a phospholipid. The final product is not zinc oxide.
