Descale-It Earth Friendly Cleaner (32 FL OZ)

This product works way better than either using the green colored pad you see in the photos or a pumice stone, alone. You can see the before and after in the pics. As you can see in the photos, I placed the pad below the spray to catch and hold it there for a few seconds before scrubbing. The pumice stone added extra scrubbing power if the stain was in the grooves of the tile design. Pre-spraying didn’t help, and I found that spraying again a couple of times to keep the product wet on the tile above the pad was a good technique to remove the calcium. It was solid and nearly immovable before using this product. Highly recommend! And there weren’t any chemistry problems in the pool after I finished cleaning the tiles. Good luck!

I wanted to like this "natural" product. So, now for the good... it is marginally effective when used to remove hard water deposits from porcelain (ie toilets and sinks). In order for it to work, you must leave it in place for at least an hour. It is no better than other acid based cleaners. Now, the bad... I made the mistake of using this product on glass mosaic tiles on the walls of my pool. The product did not remove any of the hard water deposits on the glass tile but it did destroy the grout surrounding the tiles causing me to replace and grout dozens of these tiles. It actually left more damage by depositing the displaced grout on the intact tiles causing even more work to remove these "new deposits". I won't be using this product again.

This product worked better than any other product I have used in the past. It removed 16 years of scale from our pool tile. Although it did take several applications, I still think it is the best product that I have found on the market for stubborn scale. Application tip: apply when it’s cool in the evening and leave overnight.

Works fantastic

This product ( and all this companies products) works incredibly well! I have been using it since before 1988. I originally used it for the terrible hard water film on my glass shower doors and have moved on to use it on EVERYTHING that needs it- faucets, bathtubs, my spa, windows, vases, jewelry, metal, glass, ceramics and I have never once had any problem :) There are situations when there is a great deal of mineral build up ( such as on neglected faucet screens) that I will leave the item to soak in a small bit of the De-Scale It to soften the minerals but it ALWAYS comes off with very little effort after that. I am so excited that it is now available on Amazon. I was only able to purchase it directly from the company at a higher price plus a stiff shipping fee for many many years ( at first it was in my grocery store). I know I sound like I must be from the company but honestly, I’m not! This is safe, NON-TOXIC, very effective and now available without breaking the bank... TRY IT! I have not been able to find this product for years. I used it in the past and loved it then. It works as it claims to do. I am excited to see Descale-it available on Amazon.

I had a hard water stain that nothing worked to remove it. Sprayed this on, waited 5 minutes lightly wiped it and washed off. The stain was completely gone. Best stuff ever.
