The theory behind the filtration is really quite simple. The Pure Cool Link pulls air through a fine mesh filter and fires it out through one of the company’s air multiplier fan designs. The 360-degree glass HEPA filter can capture up to 99.95% of pollutants - anything over 0.1microns. In the air trapped in the filter there is pollen, spokes, smoke, dust and other irritants. The filter also has activated carbon, similar to that used in cooker hoods, to trap any chemicals in the air, thus removing smells and pollutants. The cleaned air is then piped through to the paperclip-like loop, directing the air forward with force and sucking air through the back of the loop as it does so, amplifying the airflow. Controls + App Dyson Pure Cool Link review The small remote is easy to use and convenient, but all of its functions are also replicated by the Dyson Link app. There are two ways to control the Pure Link Cool. As with every other Dyson fan, there’s a small infrared remote for turning on the fan, increasing or decreasing its power, setting it to oscillate or operate on a timer. There’s also a button for putting it into night mode, which limits the fan strength to four or less and dims the LED display on the front. Pressing the “auto” button allows the fan to control itself in response to the quality of the air in the room at the time, turning on and cleaning the air when required. If you choose to the connect the fan to Wi-Fi – you do not have to – you can also control it using the Dyson Link app for Android or iOS. The app provides information on filter life, telling you when you need to change it – which is roughly once a year depending the quality of air in your house – and set schedules for it to run on a daily or weekly basis. Dyson Pure Cool Link review The Dyson Link app provides all the information you might need about your purifier and allows remote operation from anywhere with an internet connection. Users can also get an instant reading of the air quality around the fan and the air quality outdoors, and a chart showing air quality throughout the day or week and how often the purifier was active. There are also air quality targets that you can change, grouped into “good quality”, “sensitive to particles and pollutants” and “very sensitive to particles and pollutants”, which the machine responds to when automatically cleaning the air. Operation Dyson Pure Cool Link review Setting up the Pure Cool Link is pretty straightforward using the Dyson Link app with a step-by-step guide. Using it is incredibly simple. Put it in your desired spot, plug it in, connect it to Wi-Fi using the app, which runs through a quick step-by-step guide then either hit the button the remote to set the fan in motion or switch it into automatic. As a purifier it works very well. It’s quite robust, so moving it from place to place –say in the living room in the during the day and bedroom at night – isn’t a problem. Appreciatively clearing a small living room of pollen for a hay fever suffer took only around 20 minutes or so and with the purifier set to automatic, it maintained a pollen-free haven even at the heights of suffering. It also removed smells quite effectively and while kept under level four out of 10 fan speed, was quiet enough to not disrupt TV watching or similar. There were occasions where the fan would kick up to level six or so, if not put into night mode, which made hearing dialogue difficult without high volumes. Dyson Pure Cool Link review The small screen on the base shows the fan speed, timer duration, whether the Pure Cool Link is in automatic or connected to Wi-Fi. As a fan the Pure Cool Link isn’t as effective as the Dyson’s other models. At the same fan speed it seems to push a smaller volume of air, meaning that to cool you from across the room requires it to be turned up pretty high. On level 10, the airflow is relatively strong, but it makes a lot of noise doing it, making it hard to do anything else in the room at the same time. Just unclip the loop using the side buttons, lift the metal sheath and slot another filter over it It’s a statement piece of furniture in a room as much as a purifier The remote magnetically attaches to the top of the fan when not in use The remote is very much line of sight, more so than other Dyson fans Like most other Dyson products the fan’s noise is as pleasant as a fan can get, but still blocks out other wanted sound The base doesn’t tilt The airflow is more targeted and directional than a traditional fan There’s only so much cooling a fan without air conditioning is capable of The air quality information is detailed enough to spot that the pollution levels in the front room increase when cars are driving past in the morning and evening commutes Pros: easy to use, easy to clean and change the filter, excellent data read-out, simple remote, automatic monitoring and operation, scheduling, rapid cleaning, doubles as a fan Cons: expensive, can be quite loud when pushed above 8 setting(Best left in auto mode for absolute silence). May not complement your decor. No dehumidifier.Does not remove odour etc smoke odour completely. P.N A desk top version is more sutaible for smaller indian bedrooms as the tower is pretty imposing upto 3 feet in height.

This is my second dyson product. The first being the vacuum cleaner. Very sleek and elegant, easy to use and install. The dyson name is also a guarantee of the quality. The service engineer Abhishek was very good explaining all the features and also very patient with replying to all my queries. He also answered a few of my queries regarding the vacuum and he registered my air purifier with the company. The air purifier may seem costly at first but it is worth every penny and very tech friendly. The app is also a blessing and can be used to switch on and monitor. All in all a very satisfactory purchase .

I ordered this air purifier for my kids bedroom. I used it for sometime and only then decided to write my review. Pros Very easy to install Very stylish looking WiFi and remote control. If you install the Dyson app, you can control it with your phone. Very safe as no visible fans outside If you set it on auto mode it will start automatically if the air quality detoroates. This is the best feature as you don't have to keep switching it on and off, however with Delhi pollution the poor machine is always on Extremely silent. Cons It takes a long time to clean the room You have to run it for atleast 1 hour for the air to reach to fair. However my other purifier does it much faster. All in all.good product but only for very small Room

A great product with a unique design.. The unique innovative design helps one to save a lot of space and adds to the aesthetic appeal of the room. Now coming straight on to the performance of the product wherein have been using it for over a month in my bedroom and can make out the difference in the quality of air in the room compared to the outdoor air. The indoor air quality feels more cleaner and lighter as can easily make out that the suspended particles also seems to have come down.. would recommend this product over most of the available air purifiers in the market and that too purchasing it from Amazon for all the good deals to get value for your money.. thanks amazon for an amazing deal and prompt delivery.. One more thing.. Dyson has a super qualified sales service team... the guy came in for the installation demo and explained me all the salient features of the product. Thanks Dyson | Thanks Amazon

Well, this really breaks my heart to write ultra negative review about the brand I was a big fan. I have 3 air purifiers of Dyson brand but a different models. I used to swear by the brand and its product but not anymore. First up, the purifiers just runs and runs and does not cleans the air (does marginal job). When I use another model of Dyson (costs about 40K) in the same room, it cleans in a few hours but this keeps running and running. I sought explanation from @Ask Dyson. They wrote standard stuff viz. keep your room closed, run all time etc. etc. and finally some irrelevant WHO standard. Your money will be well spent if you buy any model of any other brand for about 10K. This is simply not worth. If you can afford, buy Dyson purifiers which are 40K+ plus but avoid this one. This appears to be a low spec, cheap machine which they are selling encashing their brand Lastly, don't buy from Amazon/ any resellers. While Dyson wants to maintain uniform prices however, you don't get the same services unless you buy directly from Dyson.in. I was in for a rude shock when i learnt that 30 days return period is not applicable on Amazon and return period is reduced to 10 days To add to the wound, I wrote to Dyson for return but they refused to help. They did not respond to my email when I insisted on return. They advised me to keep using for 8-10 days after which the performance was expected to improve however, nothing improved and the return window of Amazon (10 days instead of 30 days offered by Dyson direct purchase) was over. To sum up, this is bad buy, bad product, bad customer services and on terms inferior to Dyson's own sales channel but for the same price. It has become an eyesore for me and I wish i could return this. I am writing this because this is my 4th air purifier from Dyson and, I own another one (5th one) from Honeywell (worth 9L) & Honeywell one does same job as this Dyson one apparently worth 29K. First time buyers may not notice this at all
