I tested this battery for the BMW Remote Control Key Fob F1 Here's what I found... Pros ✅ the sizing was spot on - 2cm diameter and 2mm thick (A 2020 battery should be 2cm diameter and 2mm thick; the sizing is logical = 2020 !) and with the contacts in the correct place. Mine had the correct voltage - this is important as it won't activate the fob if the charge is low (I hear that if it is <2.5 volts it may not work). If that happens - you see the key sign on the dashboard - see my photo. This is a reminder that batteries run down - so use the spare fob regularly to keep it charged up otherwise you can have an unpleasant surprise when you need it ! The battery comes in a robust protective case - important as the pins are fragile Replacing the "Comfort Access" Key fob Battery is tricky compared with the basic disposable battery version - so do check out the videos posted on the www as I found several good ones and make sure that you have the de-solder tape to unstick the old bettery from the PCB.. Also - note, there are some fobs that need the battery pins at 180 degree separation and others that need the 90 degree one. This battery is the 90-degree type. Cons ❌ None for me - as long as it proves durable. Delivery was next day, which is good service if you need this in a hurry as it is not easy to get on the high street. It is a lot cheaper than asking the Main Dealer garage to do this for you - but you do need so electronic circuit skills ! If they fail inside 2 years I will be back to update my review.
