(see below)First things first, the unit is worthy of 5 stars, but after dealing with the company I would rate it ten stars, if I could.After posting my original review, I was contacted by someone from the company asking for more details. When I explained what the problem was, they immediately offered to either send me a new unit, or a full refund. There was no request to alter my review or anything like that, there seemed to be just a genuine concern for my satisfaction. Since I was generally satisfied with the collar, I elected to ask for a replacement - there was always the possibility that my original was defective.Not only did I get a new unit, which definitely works better, but they also told me I didn't have to return the first unit.The beep is definitely louder on the new one, and it also works consistently. All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend this collar for anyone with a small to medium dog. I have no doubt it would work perfectly OK with a big dog as well, but my experience is with a 11 kg Lagotto Romagnolo.~~~~~~~~~~~~~This "three-way" collar is, basically, a 1 and 1/2 collar. Technically 2 and 1/2 but I really, REALLY, avoid using the zapping feature.At any rate, it's small and light and the range is decent.I am going to keep using it for a few days, before making a final decision.

The collar and device fit our toy-breeds well. They have seemed to curb inappropriate behavior while being worn.

This little training tool is amazing. We have had it for 10 days. I haven’t had to recharge yet and it works great!We always correct verbally, then beep, then vibrate if needed. He is already listening to us without needing any correction. We are using for excessive barking and recall.We have used it at as far as 350 feet distance and He came home running after a vibrate. The vibrate is very strong ! There is a lock button on the remote so you do not shock him by accident. We do not need the shock as our dog is generally well trained and is never out of control. But I could see needing the shock for dogs that are out of control.I highly recommend this collar for a toy size dog with proper training of the human using it.

It was easy to find the right setting for my dog, and with a 1300ft range, it's perfect for when we're out and about. Plus, it's waterproof, so no worries if it gets wet.The vibration and sound modes usually do the trick without needing to use the shock. The silicone contact points are gentle on her skin, and the safety lock prevents accidental shocks.Using it is easy. The remote has clear buttons and an LED display that shows the current level and status. Turning the collar on and off is just one button, so it's really simple.Overall, this collar has been a fantastic find. It's small, light, versatile, safe, effective, and easy to use. I highly recommend it for any dog owner!
