This is a "four and one" review: 4 stars for the physical device, and less-than-one star for its user interface. Physical: Compact and stable, good picture, doesn't overheat (much - do screw in the mount, its metal acts as a heat sink). It easily connects via ONVIF to just about any modern video system. It adjusts position with a simple friction lock that even people with arthritis can probably manage. If it looks a lot like others, that's because it's part of a large Chinese clone family (that is not a criticism). It - suprisingly - does not come with a power brick. If you want to use it with WiFi, you need to get your own. That's why it's four stars, not five - that's just table stakes and they cheapened out. If you use Ethernet, it can power from PoE; but again if you don't have a PoE switch you need to get your own power brick. Now for the bad part: the user interface is simply atrocious. There is no web interface. To configure this camera (including setting up its WiFi!) you need to either give your life to a chinese cloud web site and forever depend on their good graces, or you have to install business-class software on your Windows PC(!) and navigate a byzantine labyrinth of options (only to find out that most options don't work with this simple consumer camera). Documentation is nonexistent; online guidance is Chinese English; and they really just don't care if you're not an enterprise. If you're a consumer, just use Chinese Cloud Magic or else. So... verdict: If you're really hard up for money and need a cheap camera with decent picture quality AND you don't care about selling your privacy and that your camera may suddenly stop working because China, then go for it. Otherwise... look elsewhere.

Much better quality than previous models. Sound is very clear and quite sensitive. Very good picture. Easy to install.

I'm sure there was nothing wrong with this camera, but prefer other brands for easier setup and monitoring

Beware this newer version has an extra "W" suffix that is not obvious. This is significant because there is no web interface for administration. All configuration must be done with iVMS or Hik-Connect or NVR. If you had an older version of these cameras (without extra -W) they are significantly different. Supposedly it does have a built-in AP function for configuring WiFi (via Hik-Connect) but I could not get this to work and was only able to use with wired/PoE, which was not what I wanted.

Will not work with hinkvision
