It features many celebrated stars in roles at the offset of their careers. Some not always the wisest career-moves, but total fun watching them going through the comedic paces of their 'learning-fields'. Of course there are many pre-1970's vehicles that feature stars of their day that are also a hoot. Have never been a fan of Paul Muni or Mickey Rooney, but watching Patsy Kelly, Joe E Brown, Joan Blondell, Carole Lombard, Jimmy Durante, Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell going through their humorous paces was well worth the price of admission; which was only 9 bucks! A mere 9 bucks to also get to watch Joan Collins, Goldie Hawn and Eva Gabor in ticklish roles which you would never have imagined they'd done. At least, I didn't! ^ _ ^ Great Fun! Great Buy! Of course I would be amiss if I didn't mention that the viewing of the some the movies ain't the best -- but overall, the DVD is dang funny and a wholly enjoyable excursion into yesterday's humor. Review: Like it - I’m a fan of old films because they are relaxing, and after a hard day I can kick back and enjoy comedy the way it used to be. Most of these are little known, but still enjoyable. I always watch The Great Rupert at Christmas time.

Good Oldies
My husband & I enjoy the older movies for their storylines. This is a fairly good collection. We would have preferred that all of the showings would have been from the 30's & 40's......some are from the 60's & 70's which just don't have the quality of entertainment that we like.

Not Exactly Classics
I have been through four on the first disc...Two where not even comedy's, romantic Fantasy maybe. So far I have ne laughed. I am a fan of the Marx Brothers, Abbot and Costello, and Laurel and Hardy... Not even close! Lots of movies I have not even heard of before!! I looked up the ratings ..only some of them are even listed as Comedy's most are rated as rotten tomatoes!! I think I have been Had! Definitely worth the price
This video combo pack has all my favorite classic comedies in it, and some new favorites! I like that they use separate CD sleeves to keep the discs from scratching each other. I received this a couple weeks ago and I have already watched a few new movies I haven't seen before, and liked them :-) You couldn't get a collection like this for less, and it is worth so much more. If you bought one or two of these movies separately it'd cost you what you pay for these 50 movies! Great deal.

Enjoyable!
I love old comedies and musicals...so much more interesting, enjoyable and laughable than the junk Hollywood is now producing.

Good Pack For The Price
Great pack of DVDs with some classics and a lot of B-movies. The quality of the recordings was pretty good and gave me different snapshots of various films in the comedy genre throughout the ages. There were movies ranging from the 30’s to 80’s. Not every film was a winner but I still enjoyed the pack enough for five stars (given the price).

Not as I expected!
I was hoping to get 50 comedys from the past. Sadly, only about 15 movies were what I would classify as "Hollywood" Comedy Legends. The rest were unknown European movies or "B" movies from the 1970's and 1980's. Several of the DVD's, that would have been classified as "R" movies in their day...even soft porn have been included with these movies. Not appropriate for children! It does included a booklet, so I have highlighted all of the movies that have nudity, so when my grandchildren come over and want to watch movies, their parents or myself can keep such acts and views from their impressionable little eyes. They don't need to be exposed to Raunchyness at such a young age.. I wouldn't even call it art! Just Raunchy, Amatuer, Porky's,Animal House type slop!

There are some movies on this collection that are good value for the money. I recommend -My Friend, Godfried-Beat The Devil-Humphrey Bogart-Eternally Yours-David Niven-His Girl Friday-Cary Grant-Love Laughs At Andy Hardy-Mickey Rooney-Second Chorus-Fred Astaire-Something To Sing About-James Cagney-Swing High, Swing Low-Fred MacMurray. The quality of these movies at best are ok. Don't expect full HD restoration as these are movies that aren't restored properly but the movies themselves are entertaining. The list above are the best of the bunch as far as I could see. Enjoy these movies and others.
