Q: Can i rewind and fast forward on the same track?

You can skip or go back one track but can not fast forward or rewind within a track.

Q: how far can you be from source (iphone)?

Not to far. Plus you need goggles to wear them I use a cloth band/strap to keep them on . 30. Ft is about as far as I go w/o them cutting the off.

Q: What are the steps to getting Apple Music playlist to play on this device underwater?

Works well, but I don't like the fact the only way for it to stay on, is holding it with your swim goggles stripe. I couldn't return it ontime. But I bought one that gies around my ears and stays on all the time
