Easy Install, Rock-Solid Hold
Super impressed with these Fence Post Anchor Ground Spikes! Installation was a breeze - no digging or concrete needed, just hammer them into the ground. Perfect for anyone who wants to skip the hassle of traditional fence post setting. They've held up great so far - our pergola feels very secure, even in windy weather. These spikes are a lifesaver if you have rocky or hard soil where digging holes would be a nightmare. Just keep in mind the post size limitations and be sure the ground isn't too soft. Overall, a fantastic product that makes fence installation fast and easy!

Easy to use
I have used these as part of my perimeter fence, the base for chicken coop posts, and the base for pergola post. The stand alone post work well for my 5ft fence. Some wood post were easy to fit and some were not. One batch of 4x4s I got from home depot were not fully dried out, and they would not fit into these spikes easily. I didn’t think it would be a problem until I tried using them. That was only 3 4x4s out of the 15 4x4s I used with these. Using the spikes as the base for my chicken coop and pergola post was easy! Unfortunately I had to move my pergola a couple of months after I built it. Removing the spikes was a little difficult, but no where near as hard if I had to dig up the post. I will definitely use these again for future products

Worked well for supporting posts
Used to make a shade fence for the pool pump. Perfect for keeping the wood out of the ground and very sturdy.

Convenient, sturdy, A- grade
The packaging was light considering the 4 of these are heavy. Our USPS delivery person left it in the rain and didn't ring the bell, so after 4 hours of rain the box was almost gone, I had to get each spike out and take it in. The spikes themselves are very good. Heavy coating and I think 2mm thickness steel. The four spikes are welded together below the 4x4 bracket in 3 spots. I thought they will not be sufficient but apparently they are. The 4x4 from Lowe's did not fit well , atleast not by hand. I pushed it in a little bit, and after that hammered the spike until the post went in all the way. The nuts needed 13mm socket. I did the first installation by putting spike in place, using level to push into ground, then hammering while checking level. This proved inefficient as one of the nut went into the ground and I had not put the post in yet. Also considering sometimes the posts don't fit well, it is good to put post in first, tighten, then hammer into ground. Also helps for the post level, since it can tied to the post now, and not just the spike. First 4 5 inches you can probably push with your body weight, after that I used a heavy piece of wood (approx 40lbs) I had and let it fall on the top of post a few times (since I don't have a sledge hammer) , no impact from a 16oz hammer after first 12 inches are pushed in. The posts are holding up great so far. I used almost 16 of these to build 90ft fence line and a gate. I also climbed on the fence rails to check if the whole structure wobbles or bends (Approx 170lbs). Will update after a few months , checking for any sagging or rusting. All in all, I did not want to work with concrete, and this is a faster and convenient process. (My legs hurt though , maybe sledgehammer would have been more useful) but they are 3 times more expensive than concrete mix. On a plus side, I guess I can pull them out later if I want to. Update: 10 Months since the installation. After two hurricanes, loads of rain and soggy weather they are still holding their place. Didn't check for rust, since I haven't pulled them out of the ground. My 80lbs dog likes to put his front paws on the fence and look over the fence almost everyday. Even after all this, there is no wobble or leaning. Waiting for winter to come around , hope it stands after the ground is frosted. They do go below the frost line in my region. Make sure you get longer spikes if you are in North.

WILL BUY THESE AGAIN!!!
With the hold of a sledge hammer or a rock, they go into the soil easily (I am 68 and could hammer them into the soil without asking for help, even clay). They come out easily for repositioning. They are sturdy, paintable and well worth the money. I used two for birdhouses, one birdhouse which was really heavy, and another one to attach a metal mailbox to for my garden area. I keep small handtools inside so I don't have to run around the house to the garage to get pruning sheers or hand shovels. These are so much easier to install than birdhouse poles and MUCH EASIER to level in all directions.

Highly Recommend
These are heavy duty spikes and worked exactly as designed. I am building a 40 foot length of 3' high fence and I hate digging fence post holes so purchased these thinking it was the lazy way out and it really turned out to be both far dressier and offered greater longevity. The black base looks nice - gives the fence bases a finished look and with the post not in the ground it's not going to rot over time. I used an excess piece of 4x4 to pound the posts in, checking every few whacks to ensure I was level. It's spring and my ground isn't too rocky so everything went in easily. I left the spikes a little taller than needed so once my post was cut I could pound in the last inch or so to ensure everything was level. Worked great!

Not for large fence
Not intended for a 6’x8’ fence panel. These quickly rusted/broke underground and the fence blew over in the wind. They broke where the spike part meets the square metal that the wood post slides into. Would be great for smaller/lighter applications, mailboxes, smaller picket fence, etc.
