This chair is awesome! I have been using this type of chair for several years as a bed when I travel. I even use it in hotels because of back problems. I finally wore out my beloved Bass Pro version and found this one on Amazon. I am NOT a small human. Just under 6 feet and 330 lbs. This chair feels very sturdy and secure and is extremely comfortable.I read several comments about it being very heavy. While it is not lightweight, it is no heavier than my other big man zero gravity chair so for me it is not an issue. I will take it camping and on any overnight trip.It operates smoothly, the locking mechanism works perfectly and the padding is just right for me.As time goes on I will update this review if there are any failures or problems.I hope this review is helpful. Now excuse me while I grab a nice nap in my new chair 😊.

I’m thrilled I chose the Timber Ridge chair! With a 500-pound weight capacity, it’s perfect for taller folks like me—I'm 6’1” and weigh 269 pounds—and I find it super comfortable. At first, I thought it might be too big, but it turns out to be just right. I can even roll onto my side and get cozy if I feel like it! The fabric quality is fantastic, too—definitely way better than those cheaper “zero gravity” chairs. I put “zero gravity” in quotes because some don’t recline to 170°, which is essential for experiencing the actual zero-gravity experience, where your legs are elevated above your heart.As for weight, it’s around 20 pounds, so it’s not the most portable chair out there. I wouldn’t want to carry it to the beach, but it’s fantastic for lounging on the balcony or backyard! Plus, it comes fully assembled—unfold it, and you’re ready to relax. It looks great, too!

I was looking for a chair to use after surgery to help me get up in the morning. I wanted a wide chair so it would feel more like a bed, with a lot of room on the side for my arms and a blanket. The easiest way to recline and raise the chair is for a person to push on the bottom bar to control the chair. I was concerned that at 5'1", this chair would be too long for me, and I would not be able to recline and raise it comfortably, especially after the surgery. Turns out I can reach the bottom bar without a problem. However, the back support was uncomfortable when I reclined because I was not sitting far back enough. I solved this problem by adding a back support cushion.The problem I did not anticipate was that I would not be able to reach the locks on both sides of the chair at the same time because of the chair's width. To lock and unlock the chair, I have to do it one side at a time, which means at some point, my entire weight is supported by just one lock. I try to minimize the pressure by continuing to press down with my back, but it is likely to shorten the life of the chair. The reclining position is comfortable, and reclining and raising the chair is easy.I had trouble locking the table in place. The pin the instruction told me to lock was just spinning and spinning. Turns out you need to snap it onto the pin on the side of the table so it just hooks onto the pin.
