could not put book down
I am a slow reader but would pick up this title every chance I got. I would review other books if there wasn’t a minimum number of words

My NEW favourite book! I see why everyone was excited about this series.
I didn't know what to expect going into this. But I’m glad I grabbed a copy. It’s just so good. The pacing at the start is fast, and before you know it, the team have left mars and you’re off on an adventure to explore the galaxy. This book had everything I LOVE in sci fi. Von neumann probes, mega planet construction projects, and time dilation. I especially loved the way Atlas and the AI manipulated there perception of time. Speeding it up and slowing down time was a clever way to tell a story the stretched over thousands of years. There’s a lot of foreshadowing with Trillion, she was unprepared for everything she faced out in space, and it showed. The author did a clever job with her character arc, and hinted at something bigger throughout Trillion’s struggles.I finished the book in a couple of days because it kept getting better and better. Now looking forward to the next in the series, hopefully it'll be soon!

Engagingly different twist on Sci-Fi
Loved the unique take on a theme well covered by other books, refreshingly interesting, a real page turner.Particularly enjoyed the factual science thrown in for good measure.Highly recommend, a great read for the Sci-fi enthusiast.

Insightful and exciting!
Loved the mix of fresh sci-fi concepts with politics / human nature / people fearing what's different. The characters are great and it all moves at a quick pace too. looking forward to the next one!

Wonderful bit of sci-fi escaping our solar system NOW!
Heads up, I'm a reader from RoyalRoad who was reading this as it came out.I loved this story and was eagerly awaiting each chapter due to its intrigue and ScyFi concepts. It was very fun in how it played with the concepts of exploration and investigation (rather then just staying in the 'metaverse' most of humanity had dived into, the characters escape into the greater universe). If you enjoy concepts of ScyFi and space discovery, you may greatly enjoy this story - however if you want something a bit harder you'll likely be disappointed. This story takes a 'results' perspective with technology, rather then a logical/rational hard sci-fi perspective on it.

intriguing concepts
This was a very engaging book that I enjoyed from the very start. Some truly interesting thoughts on “uploading” humans for space travel and AI and the potential to screw up new worlds as we act like Gods. Highly recommend this thought provoking novel. Well done Menilik!
