Got the job done!

The strands/ links are thin but the steel material works for what we need. You may need to layer for more durability. The thinness makes it very scratch resistant and non abrasive. It’s a decent size and amount for what I paid. I wouldn’t recommend regular scissors but it cut very easily with shears. We are using it with foam for rodent deterrence.

Good hole filler. Scary part is cutting it, haven't figured yet how to do it without lots of tiny bits of wire as you cut through the weave. Wear gloves for the sharp edges that remain.
