Q: does this pedometer have tri-axis technology so that steps are counted correctly

it has been the most accurate ped I have owned. I have set up to my stride length and measured a known distances and compares to calculations to within 2 steps over 500 metres making this less than 0.004% inaccurate. Give me those odds any day, and for £20!

Q: The Jog Style Pedometer seems like what I have been looking for, but does the read out say'miles" or just KM?

This pedometer shows the number of steps taken rather than actual distance walked. However when you do the settings you can specify the number of cm each stride would be. In my case I have set my stride to be 80cm, this means if I do 10,000 steps I have covered 8km which is equal to 5 miles. Hope this helps.

Q: Can this unit measure in miles rather than Ks?

No you can't configure it to use miles, km is the only option. I've just checked the user's guide!
